Hillary's on her way
With her own re-election to the U.S. Senate seat from New York looking more like a slam-dunk every day, Sen. Hillary Clinton seems to have some time on her hands -- so she is turning her attention westward to Ohio.
Saturday, Clinton will be the headline draw at a private fundraiser in Cleveland for Rep. Sherrod Brown, the Lorain Democrat taking on Republican incumbent Mike DeWine.
The junior senator from New York will return to Ohio in July for a fundraiser at a private resident in Columbus, the beneficiary of that event being gubernatorial candidate Ted Strickland.
You wouldn't be going too far out on a limb to say that public opinion in Ohio is split on Sen. Clinton, and her likey bid for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008. But she, like her husband, can sell tickets to a political fundraiser like nobody's business, so both the Brown and Strickland camps say they will welcome her with open arms.
But note that both campaigns are holding "private'' events and neither will be dragging her out in public.

So what? When Bush was here a few weeks ago, wasn't that private? Or, do you not read the news?
See, this is why the Democratic Party is so inept.
The Republicans are unpopular and corrupt. The American public is thirsting for change.
What do Democrats do? They take the smartest, most popular, most admired person they have, and keep her behind closed doors.
The Democrats should be at an all-time high. They should be able to fill the Shoemaker Center with a knock-your-socks off rally with 10,000 people.
Oh, what the heck, make it 20,000. Hillary has to be at least twice as popular as The Smirking Chimp.
Right?
Anon@12:43,
My point is that hacks like Wilkinson only make a big deal of "private" visits when it's a Democrat. These assholes give Republicans a free pass.

OK, so the Enquirer made mention of the fact that these will be private events while it did not use the same wording for a Presidential visit. (Just wondering when a Presidential visit has been truly open to the public.)
The real test of the Enquirer's objectivity will be when/if they mention the traffic problems caused by shutting down streets and the costs borne by the taxpayer through police and sheriff patrols from Hillary (who, like the President, enjoys Secret Service protection owing to her status as a former First Lady).
The Enquirer is as objective as Cincinnati is liberal.

Ya know why people do not like Hillary - she is just too darn smart. I don't think she is that smart in everything as she should have kicked Bill in the groin and dumped his butt; but that is her private life and her business. The US (and especially Cincinnati)likes real dumb politicians who focus on the real big issues like gay marriage, flag burning and those $100 gas rebates. I am still waiting for my Ben Franklin from Bill Frist and his buddies.
Smart AND gorgeous.
I find it hard to concentrate to her luxurious voice because her physical beauty is so astounding.
It's incredible to realise that Bill Clinton went after that cheap tart Monica, tried to get into Paula Jones and raped Juanita Broddrick.
Why?
What more could a man want than Hillary Clinton in his bed every night, waking up to her face, listening to her coo sweet-nothings over the phone.
That man is a dirty dog, and not worthy to stand in the slender shadow of the graceful Hillary.
She could have done better. MUCH better.
So Democrats "drag" people? Come on!
Howard you should know better. High ticket fundraisers are almost always private events held at residences. When Obama was here for Brown, that was a private event, and you didn't say Brown must not want to be seen with Obama. To imply that Brown & Strickland don't want to be seen with Hillary smacks of misogyny on your part.
