Police Union Endorsements

The Cincinnati police union's endorsement arm, The 1900 Club, endorses these 10 city council candidates:

Jeff Berding, Chris Bortz , Laketa Cole, John Eby, Pat Fisher, Leslie Ghiz, Sam Malone, Chris Monzel, Cecil Thomas and Charlie Winburn.

For judgeships:

District One: Dwane Mallory

District One Unexpired Term: No Endorsement
District Two: Nadine Allen

District Three: Kendal Coes
District Four: Julie Stautberg

District Five: Heather Russell
District Five Unexpired Term: Brad Greenberg

District Six: Richard Bernat
District Six Unexpired Term: Bernie Bouchard

District Seven: Melissa Powers

They also said:

We support the need for a new jail, but must oppose the Comprehensive Safety Plan as proposed. (The plan includes putting more county sheriff's deputies on patrol in the city, which some officers disagree with)

We oppose the Tax Levy for the Cincinnati Public Schools until the need can be justified.

Thanks for giving me a list of people not to vote for. I will not vote for anyone who does not reject the FOP endorsement.

And someone tell those fat bastards you can only vote for up to 9 council candidates.

.

We suppose the reason Cranley didn't receive the endorsement is that he has a passion for justice.

He succeeded in reversing a murder conviction with the innocence project.

The police must want anyone in jail they say belongs there, PERIOD !

Even if their own (fired and rehired) JOHN SESS, planted the evidence.

What, Crowley not endorsed either ?

The police just don't like to operate within the law without profiling.

PATHETIC !

HAD ENOUGH:

VOTE NO, on the 'fanatical five' !

VOTE, for a real, DEMOCRAT 2007 and JEFFRE !

PATHETIC !

ENOUGH is ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2007 ! The police are wrong!

The whloe union has got plagiarism mixed up !

The sheriif had two stories he was excerpting !

The plagiarized 'over-blown' article was about the safety plan!

What the heck is mouse droppings when your accustomed to goose-stepping through elephant dung ?

PATHETIC !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2007 !

Yet another reason to vote for John Eby!

Eby's got my vote on election day.

I'm glad that CPD rejects having county sheriffs patrol city areas. You know, CPD has been doing such a wonderful job and all, why should we have more cops in the city?

Gotta' love the cops. Crime in OTR has gone way down since the Sheriff started the patrols.

We couldn't get Cincy cops off their wide butts, but now they are working so the Sheriff does not show them up.

They know if the patrols are ended they can go back to sitting on their butts and eating donuts.

Anybody ever look at the phtos of Cincy cops at a crime scene? Average weight: about 260.

I with you on not wanting the FOP endorsement. It's good to know these are the candidates that can be influenced by the crooked FOP. Vote against the new jail tax!

Peace :)

Whoever keeps posting for Eby is an idiot.

All he does is whine. And when Qualls came back (she ruined the westside) all he did was praise her.

It was second grade!!!! Father Hailey at Guardian Angels said hi to me in the hall and it distroyed my life. Now you have it. Make fun of me again. Anyone know a good Lawya????

I see see cop killer Crowley didn't get their endorsement.

Great balls of fire! How much did Daddy Mallory offer to the FOP charity fund to get them to endorse Dwane Mallory for Judge??? We've had enough of the Mallorys in this 'burg.

I'm a bit surprised they endorsed Judge Nadine Allen. She was the one who screwed up the bail on some dude who went right out the door & started shooting it up.

I'm voting for Judge Burlew & Roz Florez to unseat Judge Allen.

Thanks for the self identification and explanation !

We now understand your propensity to hang-out and foot-tap in the city hall basement restroom !

We have given him our 'tool', let's see if shim knows how to work it !

PATHETIC

VOTE YES on ISSUE 27 and ISSUE 28:

( the use-less idiot, dude, of the NAZI party needs treatment before, during and after early release from the confinements the wRong wingnut whacko society has placed upon his mind !
Rehabilitation will lead the 'use-less idiot' toward re-entry employment with 'charles 'foster kane', as 'head blower' )

anon 3:29 - just because it's titled a "safety plan" doesn't mean it is one. This isn't a plan, they admit in their own documents they are currently developing a plan. We need to see a real plan before we tax ourselves for 15 years. And we need something much better than we've heard before.

How much do the Mallory's make on the public doll?

at 9:18 AM, October 04, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

It's not the "doll," you moron. The term is "public dole." And besides, the Mallory's aren't on welfare, they're public servants. Just because you don't like their politics or their tactics doesn't mean they're milking the system.

You probably voted for Bush, didn't you? I bet you've never asked why none of the Bush's have had real jobs.

Hey!!! Where is Cranley's FOP endorsement??? I thought he put all those new police on the streets. Surely, you can't be serious that he wasn't endorsed by the FOP.

(I am quite serious, and don't call me Shirley.)

So what is the alternative? What is the solution to the jail problem?

You can't keep saying that there is a better solution to the safety plan if you can't come up with one.

Our foot-tapping bold typist is very upset that the Police Union did not endorse his Little Jeffre.

NO MORE MALLORYS!!!!!!!!!!

at 12:13 PM, October 04, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

The FOP definately came up with a list of who NOT to vote for!!!!

anon 1:48 is right on the mark!!!!

A plan to make a plan does not justify 15 years of taxation!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy to give my money and support to a COMPREHENSIVE plan that would make this city safe(r)--But I haven't seen such a plan as of yet....

We need to demand more of the people we put into office and hold them accountable for the decisions they make....

Over on the Cincinnati Black Blog anon #1 above said s/he wouldn't vote for anyone who did not reject Unite Cincinnati's endorsement. Now they says they won't vote for anyone endorsed by the FOP. That means they won't be voting for the following 15 candidates: Jeff Berding, Chris Bortz , Laketa Cole, Minette Cooper, John Eby, Pat Fisher, Leslie Ghiz, Andre Harper, Justin Jeffre, Sam Malone, Chris Monzel, Mitch Painter, Michael Earl Patton, Cecil Thomas or Charlie Winburn.

I would bet money that the person issuing this threat is none other than the guy fired by Leslie Ghiz and booted from the Blue Chip Republican Club who now works for Melanie Bates -- who failed to win the endosement of either Unite Cincinnati or the FOP.

Really, our method of selecting judges is a joke. To subject them to political pressures such as these is to leave us with those who are the best politicians and not those who would make the best judges.

See the Dinkelaker v. O'Reilly race for an example when we elected a savvy dimwit instead of the awkward genius.

Thank God for Ted Berry. Every now and again we get the total package.

I love perusing the FOP endorsements, especially for the low profile offices. It's a great way to discover the closet Republicans. But we already knew about Berding (wannabe) & Bortz (registered), but I guess Cole swings both ways.

The judgeship endorsements are especially enlightening. I wasn't going to vote for Judge Nadine Allen who let a Cinti cop off with a fine less than a day at a Reds' game after being convicted of threatening to beat-up a kid up and lie about it in court while on duty. But many of the others fly below the radar. Thanks 1900 Club for the valuable info!

You can only endorse nine candidates you dumb poopstains. I'll not even vote and eat everything in my fridge while listening to Britney Spears! How do you like that? That'll show you.
