McCain, in Ohio, praises Portman

Enquirer Columbus bureau reporter Jon Craig rode the Straight Talk Express Wednesday:
Sen. John McCain had nothing but praise Wednesday for Rob Portman, former congressman and budget director under President Bush, whose name often crops up as a potential running mate for the presumptive Republican presidential candidate.

i can't understand what portman is thinking. he's a fairly decent level headed person. the taint of being associated with bush will wear off by 2012, he should be patient and stay as far away from insane mccain as possible.

Budget Director, Portman ??? great guy?? Has anyone seen our deficit in this country, the outrageous inflation, the destablization of oour economy, the price of gas... Anyone who thinks Portman is the poster child for public service awards has got to be nuts

Any voter that cast a vote for a repug should be required to identify themselves to the rest of us. I've weeded the evil out of my family and am proud to say that even my father who has been a die hard GOPer for the last 30 years has said 'YES WE CAN'

OBAMA 2008!

1:45 I'm voting Republican; what's your point?
Another loud mouth Democrat that will go underground when the Dems mess up.
I'm sure glad Nancy Pelosi was able to lower gas prices like she promised over two years ago. She's done a great job of keeping her secret oil plan secret!

McCain/Portman will beat Obama/Hamas in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Missouri, and possibly even Michigan.

Hamas-endorsed Barry Hussein Obama has alienated Reagan Democrats and John McCain will scoop them up to win the presidency by a fairly comfortable margin.

Why isn't John McCain wearing a flag pin? Why must he continue to show so much disrespect to America and the troops?

2:20 & 3:24 probably one and the same given the nature of the ramble. KNOW THIS, you and the few repugs left stand NO CHANCE in the general election. You are UNAMERICAN and your vote will be canceled out by th emillions of Obama supporters who are much smarter than anyone who would suggest that Obama is part of Hamas. Seriously, do you raise your children to be that stupid? No wonder Ohio is in such sad shape! What a TOOL you are for the dead GOP. RIP you old fool.

John McSame is The Manchurian Candidate, programmed by the Viet Cong to bring down America once he reaches high office.

I have to chuckle every time someone uses McCain's term, "Straight Talk Express." One thing John McCain has definitely NOT given us is "straight talk."

Where's he stand on immigration? Well, he was FOR comprehensive immigration reform before he was AGAINST it.

Where's he stand on the Bush tax cuts? Well, he was AGAINST them before he was FOR them.

Where's he stand on overturning Roe v Wade? Well, he was AGAINST it before he was FOR it.

Where's he stand on campaign finance reform? Well, he was FOR it before he was AGAINST it.

Where's he stand on banning torture? Well, he was FOR it before he was AGAINST it.

McCain is a flip-flopping liar who'll say anything to get elected.

Anon 6:22 thinks BO is the answer.
BO threw his pastor of 20 years under the campaign bus to get elected. Get a life doofus.

Wow... back in January some alleged loser allegedly blogging from his Mommy's basement knew already what Newt and the rest of the Gang Of Pedophiles are just learning now:

Doesn't matter. I am going to put this in terms the corporate plutocrats running the Gang Of Pedophiles can easily understand: your brand sucks.

Face it, after the illegal war, record gas prices, record deficits, a tanking economy, record foreclosures, a worthless dollar, and their interest in using children for their sexual gratification, the "Republican" brand is dead.

They could run the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost for County Commission and will still lose.

Here's what's sad about McCain - he won the nomination because he was the most trustworthy GOP candidate. Then someone told him he had to start winning votes - as if he wasn't already. Now, he is nothing but a mouthpiece for a campaign, destroyed by the national GOP giving him damning advice and ruining his "brand".

McCain shot his own candidacy in the foot when he jumped on the sinking GOP bandwagon.

I like him - and he'll lose.

As for Obama - folks your ignorance is showing, and the poster who said that's one reason Ohio is losing its population - he nailed it. The rest of the country (except, ignorant, uneducated, poor, racists, white men) has passed us by.

Like they say, everything happens in Cincinnati 10 (20) years later.

Are people really so intimidated by an educated black man that they would vote GOP in spite of what we're going through. LOL. Idiots.

How many people really buy in to the Cunningham mantra: ignorance, racism, narcissism, head-in-the-sand politics, "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" OH MY! Hamas endorsed LOL!

Cunningham only wants you all to vote GOP because it'll save HIS own job while yours goes down the tube. But hey, you can listen to him all day long while you eat rice, beans, spam and Cunningham reaps the rewards of a GOP presense.

Obama's beliefs: Note particularly point 4 in the "10 point value system" in the second list. This would be an odd position for a US president to take.

Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the BLACK Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These BLACK Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever BLACKs are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:

1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the BLACK Community
3. Commitment to the BLACK Family
4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6. Adherence to the BLACK Work Ethic
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the BLACK Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting BLACK Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all BLACK leadership who espouse and embrace the BLACK Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the BLACK Value System.

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.
2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.
3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

Inclusve, patriotic, race healer Obama 08.

My 64-year-old father is going to cast his first vote for a Democratic Presidential candidate this year. He has voted GOP for Prez going back to Nixon in 68.

My 63-year-old mother is voting Dem for Prez for the second time, the last having been in 1976.

My 65-year-old father-in-law, who voted absentee for Barry Goldwater while in the Navy, is voting Dem for the first time EVER.

My 62-year-old mother-in-law was a Goldwater Girl as a freshman in college. She will be voting for her first-ever Democrat for anything except County Auditor.

My sister, a former Young Republican president in college, is voting for Obama.

My brother-in-law, a policeman, is voting for Obama.

My wife has 6 siblings and 4 siblings-in-law. The only one of them not voting for Obama is not a U.S. citizen. He would if he could.

My wife and I voted Republican until the Iraq War.

We are so proud of the rest of our family coming around finally.

Ours is a West Side Catholic German family, married to other West Side Catholics with one exception. We have scattered from the Cheviot/Western Hills area and live in Colerain, Green, Miami Township, Butler County, Warren County, and one brave soul and his wife ventured to Arizona, McCain's home state, and even THEY are voting for Obama.

Don't let the corporate media fool you into believing this is going to be close.

When so many life-long Republicans are voting for Obama, it's not going to be close at all.

The GOP should be terrified. They aren't going to lose just an election. They will lose so bad, they will never recover in anything resembling their present form. I am sure the well-financed, manipulative Right Wing will use the corporate media to create some group or groups, but the Republican Party as we know it is OVER!

Change We Can Believe In is on the Way!

Obama 08.
