Commissioners Cyclones Fans

If you're a fan of the Cincinnati Cyclones Hockey team, Hamilton County's the government for you. Commissioners not only congratulated the Cyclones today on their impressive season, they passed a resolution to make it official.

The resolution called the team "fan friendly," and "model citizens," and that games are "fun to watch and reasonably priced."

It then encouraged the team to win:

"It is hereby proclaimed that Hamilton County proudly acknowledges and commends the Cincinnati Cyclones for a wonderful season on the ice and off as ambassadors of our region and further that we encourage the Cyclones to beat South Carolina and move on to take (for the first time) the Kelley Cup and bring it back to Cincinnati."

Read the whole resolution here.

Shhh... the Cyclones are Cincinnati's best kept wholesome, family, affordable entertainment in town.

It's great to go there and be able to relax - no having to hold the hand of your little one tight for fear of being lost in the crowd. You can sit back, put your feet up on the chair in fornt of you and have a little room for the kids to move around.

It is a wonderful experience. But don't tell anybody lest the best kept secret in affordable family entertainment will become an overcrowded stressful environment like so many other great attractions.

I am not a hockey fan, but I wish that we could have a football team like that. Hard to compete with the NFL. Rival football leagues have tried and failed many times. How about one on a minor league level, not the indoor crap, but real football where the players are not millionaire cry-babies and the prices are affordable. Mike Brown needs to go the way of Marc Dann. OUT!

Other than the Xavier Musketeers, the only local team to have a winning record over the past several years has been our beloved Cincinnati Cyclones !!

Next stop: the Kelley Cup finals !!
