Portune raises $130K

Today is the cutoff for annual 2007 campaign finance reports.

Candidates must report all fund-raising activity that occurred through Dec. 31, although the reports don't actually have to be filed until Jan. 31.

County Commissioner Todd Portune, though, already knows how much he's raised toward his re-election campaign: $130,000.

"We have very strong bipartisan support and ... the fundraising has been very strong. I feel very good about the effort to date," Portune said. He's seeking a third term on county commission.

Connect the dots on these blogs folks . . .

Former Harris campaign manager was hired by Berding, but he'll actually be doing a good deal of work for Harris' Commission race. Similarly, Portune will channel significant resources into Harris' race.

The Dem's--led by Portune & Berding--are coordinating their efforts to take out DeWine, who is dead according to polls, and they want to finally make Harris a winner.

The best hope for Republicans is that Winburn beat DeWine in the primary. Regardless, the business community won't back either due to their opposition to Issue 27.

Someone needs to do their research before spewing their elephant dung propaganda !

PATHETIC 'family values' !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2008 !

Don't count out Dewine. Remember who was anti jail tax (Dewine) and don't forget issue 27 failed by big numbers. The problem that Dewine will face is the backing of a mismanaged and enept local Republican Party.

DeWine humiliated Portune on the jail tax issue. Actually, Portune humiliated himself, DeWine just did the right thing by opposing it.
DeWine votes right, and fights on the right side of issues. I will vote for him, and anyone who runs against Todd.

DeWine and his supporters spread a good deal of disinformation in oppossing Issue 27. This will come back to haunt him in the general election.
