From Harris to Berding

Shawn Baker, campaign manager for Greg Harris' unsuccessful Cincinnati City Council campaign, now works for Councilman Jeff Berding.

Baker's name showed up on top of a news release sent this afternoon from Berding's office, announcing a press conference on New Year's Eve day at 10:30 a.m. during which Berding will talk about his motion to hold a council retreat with City Manager Milton Dohoney and Mayor Mark Mallory before March 31.

Baker and Earmon Powell replace Mel McVay, who is going to work in the city's planning office.

How come Berding didn't hire his West Side PIC Scott Gehring for his office???

Baker will be gone within months. No way they will get along.

Who will be paying for this Council lovefest, known in Berding parlance as a retreat? Hopefully the over-taxed-payers won't be foorting the bill.

Baker ran a good campaign for Harris and I have confidence he'll do great at City Hall. Good luck!

Baker has a lot of progressive ideas, should help Berding with the Democratic base

Earmon Powell kowtowing to Berding? I guess his "consulting" work wasn't panning out. He won't last. I give him 3 months & it's out the door.

Congratulations & good luck, Mel! You're the best!

Same Earmon Powell that made threats of shooting neo-Nazi sympathizers? Same EP that's in tight with the Mayor as a mole for any cause? Wake up Jeff and smell the stench. Baker looks at his work as public service. Hope he lasts.

Great hire for Berding. Baker is passionate and progressive, and a hard worker. Good luck Shawn!

You're right, Baker is in the mix for the right reasons, good government, public service, and a true care for Cincinnati's future. He always seems to be connected to the community.

Yupperoo! It's the same EP who used to show up weekly along with that hate tribe of City Hall regulars in years past. You know the ones - they took up the front row, spoke last about all sorts of hate whitey & hate police garbage - representatives from the West End Mafia, their fan club & their paid stooges.

Anon 8:40 is on to something. It's 3 months & EP will land outside City Hall with a big thud. He'll get that racist mouth going with a constituent on the phone on a matter that cuts against his grain & out he'll go.

What in heaven's name was Berding thinking when he hired this EP? The clown has a criminal record of theft!

I hate to say this (bad phrase) but, get a life.

Can't we all just get along ?

Yes indeed it is the same Earmon Powell who supported Kabaka Oba and Joy Rolland when they were terrorizing every single city council meetings and threatening good law abiding white people and for that matter black people.
Jeff Berding should have his council seat recalled for hiring a terrorist sympathizer!
