Hey Pepper, how about cutting the funding to all programs run by people you used to date?

Why do the commissioners need to employ 2 aides each? it wasn't that long ago that they had 1 each, and before Bedinghaus was elected, they had to share one between the 3 of them. 1 each ought to be enough. That is also true for City Council.

I concur totally with your comment about cutting one Aide each. I also believe that elected officials in the Court House ... should follow the steps of the departments under the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners. NO RAISES and MORE BUDGET CUTS, including Sheriff Leis not purchasing any additional equipment, cars, or unnecessary toys!
Anon 8:30, this is 8:03 again.
Totally on board with what you're saying about the Court House. The county should look at cutting their support of the courthouse as well. The judges have their own pot of money from court costs and filing fees, however, so imposing freezes might be tough. Still, if they had less money from the commishes, it might force them to try fiscal conservatism for once in their lives.
Let's tie up the courts a little more with patriots contesting red light camera tickets!!!!!!!!!!
Great idea eliminating bottled water, but I'd be embarrassed to list that like it was a bright light. Why should the gov't be buying bottled water to begin with? Bottled water is a joke and an environmental nightmare that I'd prefer to not support with my tax money.
the link to POrtune's budget is not working
Bottled water? What's wrong with the fine drinking liquid from the Metropolitan Sewer District??
A $40 million deficit and Pepper is talking about bottled water?
Thank goodness, Portune's link is not working because his ideas of cuts would probably bother me.
I certainly hope working for Hamilton County next year is better than this round. After 19 years of devoted service, it is a very sad day at the least that we are in this predictment.
Thank you, Commissioners Pat and David for trying to do the right thing. We must get Commissioner Todd Portune out of this office. He can go back to City Council or go run for State Representative.
link to Portune's budget is STILL NOT WORKING.
