Driehaus targets Chabot and Bush

From the Ohio Democratic Party:

On Day of Big Bush/Chabot Fundraiser,
Rep. Driehaus Joins Families at Rally to Protect Ohio Kids

Driehaus, Health Care Advocates, Families Urge President Bush and Congressman Chabot to Stop Blocking Health Care for 10 Million American Children

Cincinnati, OH - On Monday, State Representative Steve Driehaus, candidate for the 1st Congressional district in Ohio, joined kids and parents at a "Rally to Protect Ohio Kids."

At the event, health care advocates, families and Congressional candidate Driehaus urged President Bush and Congressman Chabot to stop blocking health care for 10 million American children.

"Under Governor Strickland's leadership we have worked hard to invest in our families and have proven we can get things done by reaching across the aisle," said Driehaus. “I am running for Congress to get things done for our citizens. The stalling of the SCHIP bill is an example of how Washington has misguided priorities and where political paybacks rule the day. I believe we can and must do better.”

Later today, President Bush will be raising money for Chabot to aid his reelection. The announcement for this event ironically came on the same day that Chabot cast a deciding vote to uphold President Bush's veto on the extension of the SCHIP Bill. Congressman Chabot was only one of four members of the Ohio delegation to oppose the bipartisan compromise.

Under Governor Strickland's leadership we have worked hard to invest in our families and have proven we can get things done by reaching across the aisle. One question - Where's the funding for our schools like Strickland has promised.

How much will the Bush fundraising trip cost the city and county?
Security and traffic control is not free. And since the only reason for this visit is a private, presumably rich contributor event for support of Steve Chabot, is the Chabot campaign or the Hamilton County GOP picking up the tab?
Or do the rest of us have to pay for with tax dollars?

I love the way the politicians use the "kid" card

Dear Mr Usefullidiot:

On this matter, I agree with you. No voter really gives a rat's patootie about the little rug-rats running around. Anything you 'subsidize' you simply get more of it...

Democrats already have the best
issues out there --

1)Republicans have become little more than rubber-stamps for corporate interests.
2)Corporate interests/Big Biz have found there is a lot of profit to be had in 'war.' So that is what we now have: a war in the Middle East.....where American blood and treasure is being shed -- for what?
3)It would be politically incorrect for me to say that our intervention in the Middle East has made us working for the state of Israel as much as for Big Oil, so I won't say it.
4)Republicans, who are so closely tied to Big Biz/Globalization at all costs -- have help de-industrialize America...and the Midwest has been hit hardest of all.
5)Republicans (like Lindsay Graham) have also sat back and let cheap labor from Central America, South America, Cuba, Mexico, and Haiti......over-run our shores. You may not see it in Ohio.....so take a busman's holiday to South Florida (for example) and see for yourself.

The downtown money crowd may not see much of the 'real U.S.' from their perch on Indian Hill or in Hyde Park.....they have their own substantial wealth and connections to insulate them from reality.

Democrats have got to stop acting like 'sob sisters' for the underprivileged and start talking about our true national interests:

Jobs and "what it means to be an American."

Mr Observer,
Thank you for the wonderful post.
The only thing I could add to your wisdom is the repeal of the 16th admendment, abolish the Gastpo IRS, and initiate HR25.

Driphaus has zero chance against Steve Chabot. Steve will hang Driphaus' political hide on the wall of his study, joining several others of note.

Just like his 1993 Buick Century, Steve Chabot just keeps going and going, winning year after year - to the eternal frustration of the liberal moonbats of the 1st District of Ohio.

I believe the people of Cincinnati are stupid enough to re-elect Chabot. The bigger point would be it doesn't make any difference, people all around the country are tired of the same and will do whatever they have to and elect Democtrates across the board. We will make sure that we take back veto control with a STRONG MAJORITY of Democrates. Like I said, makes no difference if Chabot is re-elected or not, he'll be useless.

Congressman Chabot:

Crush the democrat traitors to America under your bootheel. The day of reckoning approaches when the leftist traitors will be dealt with by the folks who believe in the 2nd Amendment. Then our great nation will experience a new birth of freedom.

Thank you for visiting Cincinnati, Mr. President! You're always welcome here. After all, it was the voters of southwest Ohio who got you re-elected over John Skerry in 2004.

And thanks for bringing a ton of cash into Chabot's war chest. Now Driphaus will lose by an even larger margin!

Where exactly can we get more information on the 'Hamilton County Militia' When is the 'day of reckoning', will it seriously take all day? How about lunch break? Do you have to be inbred to join or just a rejected peice officer. Is Steve a member? You know I think he's going to be looking for a new job soon, maybe he could be a greeter at your meetings.

Seriously this is the best laugh I've had today. Keep up the good work Hamilton County Militia.

VOTE NO on 27!

What about us????

Steve Driehaus and his Democratic siblings dip from the public trough like any other politically connected Cincinnati family, Democrat or Republican. These ""public servants" have no shame and no real solutions and should be roundly rejected.
