No Jail Tax says treatment group is against Issue 27
No Jail Tax Political Action Committee says a group of treatment professionals, among others, have come out against the sales tax increase to build a new jail. Read the release here.
Let's see, are they up to about 13 people (eaqch ofrming their own non-existent "group") now who actually are against safety programs, police patrols, jail space, and treatment.
Yates has vowed that he will never, ever support the creation of new beds in Hamiton County because he says his constitituients can't distnguish between a good plan and bad plan -- I think Yates severely under-estimates the intelligience of his community
The battle of the competing press releases is out of control --- heck, if you can't get a major party endorcement, or a paper endorcement , make one up
Thanks a lot Cincinnati voters. Because of your stupidity the jail tax has failed and Downtown is now dead to me. I was robbed and assaulted by a multiple offender who was let out of jail four times this year. Now he's up for cocaine traffiking. Let's see him get out of this. He has Judge Nadel!!!! Now Sheriff Leis has to lay off cops who patroled Over the Rhine? I won't be back Downtown for a very long time. You pass taxes for stadiums but not safety and you wonder why people stay in their suburbs?
