BTW
Washington's newest media organization - The Politico - launched today. Greater Cincinnati has TWO lawmakers who made their list of the Top 10 most influential members of Congress:
3. Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. -- Hands down the most powerful Republican in Congress. He makes Bill Frist seem electrifying. But McConnell is a tactical wizard; Think Trent Lott on mute.
10. Rep. John A. Boehner, R-Ohio -- Life in the minority sucks. House Republicans are the least relevant of the Big Four. But he has one heck of a tan.

Now that SouthWest Ohio and Northern Kentucky Republicans are starting to get more press and publicity, we may have the opportunity to return back to the good ole days when Ohio controlled the White House with Taft and Garfield. Boener has the greatest chance in my opinion and possibly a shot at 2012 is possible if dems take the white house in 2008. AS house minority leader he doesn't seem to have a bad mark on him. His experience in the house since 1991 and a spot on Bush's cabnet will help him as an Ohio candiditorial hopefull in the future who has much support in his home town.
