Crowds coming to Wulsin party
Eileen Kelley reports:
Friends of Victoria Wulsin filled the community center in the East End Tuesday in preparation for a showdown turned celebration.
The 1891-built Pendleton Heritage Center which used to be ticket station and washhouse for streetcars, was decked out with standard red, white and blue balloons and banners. At 8:15 p.m., Wulsin was still not on hand. Campaign workers said she was headed south and west after recently finishing campaigning for the 2nd Congressional seat.
This is Wulsin’s second stab at the seat which has been held by Republicans for years.
Wulsin lost in the primary last year to fellow Indian Hill Paul Hackett for the Democratic chance at the seat. Republican Jean Schmidt narrowly won the race by a few thousand votes.
Emil Dansker is hoping to not have a repeat performance of last year.
“I’m optimistic but I have been around long enough to know that anything can happen,” said Dansker, 76, of Wyoming.

Whether or not Dr. Wulsin wins the popular vote, she's deserves praise for having travelled the high road in this election.
Cheers
Dr.Vic wallowed in the muck with Jean.
Glad I live in another district and didn't have to hold my nose and vote for either of theses two ! They both prove the old joke "opposite of progress is congress ! "
