At the Wulsin party
Eileen Kelley reports
Born in Kenya and educated in England, 62-year-old Gurdev Mengat of Anderson Township learned a thing or two this campaign season.
His neighbors in Republican-rich Anderson Township don’t care for his yard sign supporting Victoria Wulsin, the Democratic contender for the 2nd Congressional District race. But the Democrats he has met have been most pleasant.
Mengat spent much of Tuesday working the phone and reminding fellow Democrats to get out and vote.
From what Mengat heard, none needed the reminder.
“They were really charged up,” said Mengat. “And they were really impressed that we were still energizing the campaign.
Mengat, who is “proudly living in America and proud to be a Democrat,” said he made more than 50 phone calls and not one person gave him any grief or accused him of pestering him.
“They were really very pleasant; almost cultured,” Mengat said.

Republican rich areas are decent and cultured, unlike the hate america Democrat crime infested areas. ?? This is like Mr. Obvious.
Anon 8:55- idiot, he was calling Dems, so he meant they were cultured- read the post again, he refers to speaking with Dems; and if you knew anything about phone banking you'd know that he probably wasn't calling his own neighborhood of Anderson, lists are assigned randomly
