Blame it on the twin

Rep. Jean Schmidt, a Republican from Miami Township hit prime time again with a mention in last night's "Countdown with Keith Oberman" on MSNBC.

This time, it's over a comment made to The Enquirer about young Republican activists two decades ago (“They look like young Hitlers to me") that Schmidt's chief of staff now says should have been attributed to her twin sister, Jennifer Black.

Read the transcript of last night's show for yourself here.

Read excerpts from the story that started it all here.

Read the story in The Hill where Schmidt's spokesman blames her sister here.

That is quite possibly the lamest excuse I've ever heard.

This woman, these women are downright evil.

Can you even begin to imagine that the voters entrust the responsibilities of this great nation to this poor excuse for a legislator.

Compare to the venerated Rob Portman.

What an embarassment.

Oh yes, the old, "My evil twin sister did it" excuse. What a joke. Mean Jean should learn to take personal responsibility for her actions.

These quotes were initially reported in a Cincinnati Enquirer article from 1984. The reporter did a whole story on the future Mean Jean, with a bunch of quotes from her. Does Mean Jean really think that this same reporter, who was following her around to do a story on her, wouldn't notice if a "young Hitler" remark came from someone else? Does Mean Jean think we're all this stupid?

You could never make up the kind of stuff we hear from Jean Schmidt and Schmidt's office. If someone is on the fence May 2, let's hope that they remember voting Jean out eliminates 2 embarassments.

For those on whom nuance is lost (Allen Fremman et.al.) that would be Jean and Jennifer.

You have a reasonable alternative... Imagine... A candidate for Congress who cares more about helping people than he will ever care about politics...

Jim Parker
Democratic Candidate for US Congress

Expand Medicare from age 65 to age 55 WITHOUT RAISING TAXES. Healthcare Coverage for Every Child in America. A Middle Class TAX CUT for working families that earn less than $100,000 per year. Expansion of the CHILD TAX CREDIT from age 17 to age 18 (and to age 24 for families with dependents who are full time students). Fighting for the Rights of Private Gun Owners. Writing a "REAL" Prescription Drug Program for the Senior Citizens of America. Ending the War in Iraq.

or... you can elect Jean Schmidt or Bob McEwen...

Well said Jim !

Let them fight for the best of the worst !

You will do fine !

Knock on doors, your back is covered.

Talk to voters not bloggers !

Jim Parker...Jim Parker...Jim Parker...

Somewhere a village is calling its lost idiot.

Maybe it was Jennifer Black who attacked a decorated veteran on the floor of Congress. Jean needs to take responsibility for her stolid and tactless nature. Watch out Barry Bennet and Allan Freeman, she's going to blame her embarrassing performance in the May 2 primary on you, but until then, her husband or daughter will suffice. Jean, resign and allow this district to retain some of its respectability.

"Somewhere a village is calling its lost idiot."

That joke was funny the first time I heard it, only it was on a bumper sticker and referred to George W. Bush.

Expand Medicare, Free Healthcare, and CUT taxes?

Better hide your drug stash. After statements like that the police know you've been into them pretty heavy.

I only have one thing to say... Ever since I started this campaign, 6 months and 19 days ago, I haven't had to convince the first person that there is something terribly wrong with our government's current "leadership". I'm not talking about people who go to political meetings or people who make internet comments. I'm talking about more than 1,000 families whose homes I have visited.

One more thing for the record... In case anybody hasn't noticed, I always explain that I've knocked on the doors of more than 1,000 families. I have never told anybody "HOW" many more than 1,000. You have a great day. I'm going to continue this fight for the people of Southern Ohio right down to the very last minute of this election.

As for the naysayer who continues to post anonymous comments. If I had to say what YOU have to say (which is nothing) I would probably try to be anonymous too...

You have a great day!

Jim Parker, MBA/MHA
Democratic Candidate for US Congress
Southern Ohio - 2nd District - 2006

I want to thank so many people for sharing their lives with me. Thank you for joining me as volunteers all throughout Southern Ohio. Thank you for believing in me as much as I believe in you. THIS HAS BEEN AN INCREDIBLE JOURNEY. Let's keep up the fight! Only 43 and 1/2 more days. It is an honor to have met so many of you throughout this special time. I will never give up on the American Dream for the people of Southern Ohio!

Mr. Parker you are full of Schmidt !

This blog is not about you or your campaign. It is about the (R) wrong wing nuts attempting to pick the best of the worst !

A--hole, Parker, if you want to represent the citizens of the 2nd, you need to learn the constitution of the U.S. That document, along with case history, provides citizens the right to speak anonymous.

You may wish to take heed to that principal as your self absorbed comments, and thin skin, are revealing your true character - which is repulsive.

No one cares what you are doing in the field. What you are doing is called job interviewing. You just need to convince a lot more hiring managers.

This anonymous blogger is a yellow dog DEM, but, guess what ?

You made an enemy. Now my position is: ANYBODY BUT YOU !

We need people who represent our liberties not repress or attempt to control them because of some personal vengeance or weak attempts at GRANDSTANDING !

Guess what, I'm a voter and may have the data base and resources to get an effective message to the people who really matter, the voter !

In fact, I may control phone bank resources capable of calling 2000 voters, at min., a day ! lol

You were warned that this board gets brutal, but, you seem to THINK you have all the answers !

You are NOT doing a great job at selling your, All about ME, the hard worker, but I'm keeping it a secret !

Would that be considered the anonymous campaign ? lol

I care more about the people of Southern Ohio than I''ll ever care about campaigns, politicians, phone banks, junk mail or elections.

This is about the children and families of Southern Ohio - NOT YOU, NOT ME, not the politicians in Washington... I am offering solutions while Bob and Jean are offering the same old political rhetoric. And I will fight to the end.

To work against me instead of working for what you believe in will make you personally responsible for the re-election of Jean Schmidt. Look at the numbers. 32 years of Democratic losses in the 2nd District. Democrats are outnumbered in this District by Republicans 3 to 1.

Jim Parker

Yada, Yada,Yada :

As for the naysayer who continues to post anonymous comments. If I had to say what YOU have to say (which is nothing) I would probably try to be anonymous too...

First:

Free speech fighting bloggers don't have anything to say ?

Now:

Begging for our support !

Apparently he can't read:

Anybody but you !

Flip / Flop !

Sounds like the perfect politician to me !

Did anyone notice Jean is wearing the "infamous" dress in this picture?

Reading this Parker guy and liberal anonymous twit going at it is almost as entertaining as reading all of Mean Jean's lame excuses why nothing is ever her fault. Between Mean Jean, Parker, and liberal anonymous twit, we've got ourselves a 3-ring circus.

Is Barry Bennett being asked for his comments on tax payer time? Is this not illegal campaigning? Where do I file my complaint against him?

Thanks for joining jeff, we have been looking for the clown ?

Your perfect for the spot !

Anonymous twit,

The first sentence was a statement, not a question. You should end the sentence with a period, not a question mark.

As for the 2nd sentence, you should change "Your" to "You're". If you're going to insult others, please utilize proper grammar and punctuation. Thank you.
