Jessica Simpson stands up Boehner (and Bush)

Jessica Simpson, the blond bombshell known for her MTV reality show "Newlyweds" with now-estranged husband Nick Lachey of Cincinnati, was in Washington yesterday to lobby Congress for Operation Smile, a group that provides reconstructive surgery to children with facial deformities.

She also had been expected to attend a Republican fundraiser on Capitol Hill with President Bush, where she was to be seated next to new House Majority Leader John Boehner. That is, until the long-legged singer abruptly declined to attend the event, saying she didn't want to get involved in politics.

Boehner, whose spokesman said a day earlier that the West Chester Republican wouldn't even recognize her, was apparently crestfallen.

"You know, I really feel like I got bagged," he told reporters.

Good for her !

She was there for a charity and then to use her to get campaign money is exploitive.

Why were they not having a fund raiser for the charity ?

Oh no, that would be to humanitarian and more liberal for their taste !

Wrong Wing Nuts don't like those blue state Hollywood types anyway !

I guess someone else had to handle that Boneher, dude !

Now consider her comments to Fametastic entitled "Jessica Simpson says she did not snub George W. Bush." She was adamant that she isn't keen to attack the President and that she has been to the White House four times and even performed at his inauguration. Interesting is the fact that her Aunt is just down the road from the President's ranch.

“I’m just so excited because the President asked for a special meeting. We’re going to sit down face to face and we’re going to talk about children.”

How frustrating is that when 'news' can't stand having a star not slam the President. So they have to make up some disinformation. And I thought Dan Rather was the only one.

Hope Jessica doesn't order up any pizza balls ?

Even Jessica Simpson could run the country better than Bush. It's funny how they slam hollywood until they find someone dumb enough to support them. Then they run them for Governor and then President.
