THe 2008 elections will put the Repugnicant Party out of Power once and for all. Given the 3 special-election losses in heavily Repug areas, no one is safe.

The 111th Congress' Repug caucus could meet in the men's bathroom at Minneapolis airport and have room to spare for the foot-tapping by-then-former Senaturd from Idaho and the Diaper Dave Vitter can have the changing table all to himself.

How many Repugs will be in Congress next year? 50? 100? Probably not even that many.

Just wait till the Obama Justice Department clears out the Bush Crime Family Assoicates and hires competent U.S. Attorneys.

Once the investigations, indictments, and imprisonments start, the GOP will be as popular as the Mafia.

Actually, the Mafia is better regarded than the GOP because they actually hold their members to standards and because they actually take care of poor people and children better than the Gang Of Pedophiles.

Interesting.

Obama says that the conflict between Israel and Palestine, especially settlements, is a "constant wound or constant sore."

Boehner then takes his words out of context to say that Israel is a "constant sore," something Obama never said.

Is it even up for dispute that Boehner is making things up that were never said?

No one seems to argue this point. Instead, many people in this comment section go after Olbermann as a liberal.

Attack the person, not the argument. Republicans favorite trick. And they attack Olbermann because you can't attack his argument.

It's recorded. Obama said one thing. Boehner then took his words and used them in a different way. The argument is sound and has evidence to back it up.

So they go after the person and say he's an America-hating liberal.

Anyone who disagrees with Republicans these days is a liberal and hates America. Blah, blah, blah. It's getting old we've heard it so many times.

But keep it up, Republicans! Your party is losing credibility by the moment. The more you scream liberal, liberal, America-hating liberal and offer nothing else, the less people believe you.

the hatred and vitriol posted on this board from those on the left is sickening...there's no debate on their side, no civil discussion. And no answers. Just hate and name calling. The Democrat Party is not the party of Truman anymore.

Anon 10:10 The Republican Party will rebound in about 2 years after the Democrats muck up the works even worse.
It will become apparent that their promises were hollow and the war won't end and gas prices won't go down. (ala Nancy Pelosi)
It will also become apparent that the middle class guy will be fleeced by the Democrats who never spied a tax increase they didn't like.
At that time, The Republicans will regain power based on lower taxes and the American working man will be seeking tax relief at any cost.
So my friend, your crowing will be over in short order.
If BO gets elected, it could be as little as one year until the grand mistake is realized.

Olberman is far superior to anything that FOX will ever have. His ratings regularly surpass those of his competitors at FOX and CNN. He tells it like it is and not like the GOP would like. He knows Americans HATE BUSH almost as much as he does. As far as Bonner goes, I was so proud to see him on Meet The Press. He looked like a scared ignorant child who knows he's in trouble but since he's clueless as to why, he sits there and does nothing. I wonder who in the private sector will give this greedy pimp a second chance at an income. He better start looking, because his days of corporate power grabs at his voters expense are soon to be over.

There WILL BE an international day off celebration when President Obama is elected in November. Then the GOP and Bush will be nothing more than a bad memory which will NEVER be forgiven or forgotten. RIP GOP.

YES WE CAN!

OBAMA 2008!

If you would like, I can list all of the horrendous effects of the party's policies since 2000.

In the interests of time, both for my typing and your reading, not to mention I might be using words too large for your far-right book-burning vocabulary, I'll just keep using Repugnicant, mmmm K?

Bill Clinton was put on trial for Impeachment. He was found Not Guilty, even though the R's controlled Congress.

Mr. Wingnut & the 19 Percenters hate the fact that Clinton had a very successful presidency, and that Bush has had the worst, most inept presidency in American history. The choke in that fact.

Bill Clinton left office with the highest approval rating of any president in modern American history, over 70%. His approval rating during the trial wat 60%+. The American People loved Bill Clinton, with the exception of the fanatical 19 Percenters.

Bush has a record high disapproval rating of 75% by contrast. He is despised by the American People.

The Clinton Administration's acheivements:

Longest Economic Expansion in U.S. History. In February 2000, the United States entered the 107th consecutive month of economic expansion -- the longest economic expansion in history. [National Bureau of Economic Research and Council of Economic Advisors]

Moving From Record Deficits to Record Surplus. In 1992, the Federal budget deficit was $290 billion – the largest dollar deficit in American history (up to then). Bill Clinton eft office with a $290 billion surplus – the third consecutive surplus and the largest surplus ever, even after adjusting for inflation.

Paying Off the National Debt. In July 2000, the Treasury Department announced that the United States would pay off $221 billion of debt this year -- the largest one-year debt pay down in American history. This will be the third consecutive year of debt reduction, bringing the three-year total to $360 billion. Public debt was on track to be $2.4 trillion lower in 2000 than was in 1993.

More Than 22 Million New Jobs. 22.2 million new jobs were created between 1993 & 2000, the most jobs ever created under a single Administration -- and more new jobs than Presidents Reagan and Bush created during their three terms. 92 percent (20 million) of the new jobs were created in the private sector, the highest percentage in 50 years.

Fastest and Longest Real Wage Growth in Over Three Decades. verage Ahourly earnings increased 3.8 percent -- faster than the rate of inflation. The United States had five consecutive years of real wage growth -- the longest consecutive increase since the 1963. Between 1993 & 2000, real wages were up 6.5 percent, after declining 4.3 percent during the Reagan and Bush years.

Household Income Breaks $40,000 for First Time in History. Income for median households rose $1,072, or 2.7 percent, from $39,744 in 1998 to $40,816, marking an unprecedented fifth year of significant growth in income. In 1999, the median income of African American households increased from $25,911 in 1998 to $27,910 -- an increase of $1,999, or 7.7 percent, which is the largest one-year increase ever recorded.

Lowest Unemployment in Over Three Decades. Unemployment was down from 7.5 percent in 1992 to 3.9 percent in September, the lowest in more than three decades. The unemployment rate fell for seven years in a row, and remained below 5 percent for 37 months in a row -- over three full years.

Highest Homeownership Rate in History. The homeownership rate reached 67.2 percent in the second quarter of 2000 -- the highest ever recorded.

Lowest Poverty Rate Since 1979. In 1999, the poverty rate dropped from 12.7 percent to 11.8 percent, the lowest rate in two decades. Since President Clinton and Vice President Gore passed their Economic Plan in 1993, the poverty rate declined from 15.1 percent in 1993 to 11.8 percent in 1999 – the largest six-year drop in poverty in nearly 30 years (1964-1970).

Tax Cuts for Working Families. 15 million additional working families received additional tax relief because of the President’s expansion of the Earned Income Tax Credit. In 1999, the EITC lifted 4.1 million people out of poverty – nearly double the number lifted out of poverty by the EITC in 1993

Helping Parents Balance Work and Family. The Family and Medical Leave Act allows workers to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave to care for seriously ill family members, new born or adoptive children, or their own serious health problems without fear of losing their jobs.

Increased the Minimum Wage. The minimum wage has risen from $4.25 to $5.15 per hour, increasing wages for 10 million workers.

Putting Families First. The President and Vice President developed and implemented first-ever plan to protect our children from tobacco and end tobacco marketing targeted to young people.

Lowest Crime Rates in a Generation. When President Clinton and Vice President Gore took office in 1993, the violent crime rate in America had more than quadrupled during the previous three decades. Since then, America has experienced the longest continuous drop in crime on record. The overall crime rate was the lowest in 25 years.

Put 100,000 More Police on the Streets.

Lowest Percentage of Americans on Welfare in 35 Years

Stabilizing Southeast Europe by ending a decade of repression and ethnic cleansing in Kosovo through leading NATO alliance to victory in air campaign and ushering in international peacekeepers, and by launching the Stability Pact to strengthen democracy, economic development and security throughout the region and accelerating its integration with the rest of Europe
Helped broker the Good Friday Peace Accord in Northern Ireland, ending decades of bloodshed and empowering the people of Northern Ireland to determine their future.
Led diplomatic efforts to end the civil war and foster multi-ethnic democracy in Bosnia.
Restored democratic government in Haiti, ending military dictatorship and stopping refugee flows.
Supporting transitions to democracy in South Africa, Nigeria, Indonesia, Central Europe and the Baltics and supporting the mediation of peace efforts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, Sierra Leone, Burundi, and Ethiopia-Eritrea.
Helped end violence and protected democracy in East Timor by leading diplomatic efforts and supporting international peacekeeping mission.
Helped settle the Peru-Ecuador border dispute and end civil war in Guatemala.
Pressing for human rights and religious freedom worldwide, including in China, Burma and Sudan.
Re-started talks toward a comprehensive settlement on Cyprus.

Do I need to go on Mr. Wingnut? Bush's dubious 'achievements' HAVE BEEN THE STELLAR OPPOSITE OF ALL OF CLINTONS ACHIEVEMENTS.

Clinton was not put on trial for impeachment. He was impeached, and tried by Congress.
