Berding: Hey, Thanks!
Councilman Jeff Berding won re-election last week in spite of some belief that he might not.
He was spotted Monday morning on Dana Avenue and Madison Road, waving a sign that said, "Thank you." He did the same thing last week at Glenway and Warsaw avenues, and on Reading Road at the Norwood Lateral.
"I just think it's appropriate to thank people," he said today. "It's just something I wanted to do to show I'm grateful."
If you want to drive by him and honk, he'll be at Columbia Parkway and Delta Avenue on Tuesday starting at 7:30 a.m.

Good luck Jeff,
I campaigned about bringing back the small investors to redevelop the traditional neighborhoods and you did agree privately that we need to do that. Please honor that . I will be in your corner if you need my help. We must, as you agreed, bring back the traditional neighborhoods. The small investors are the best path.

Very classy Mr. Pavelish!
Now if only Jeffre & "the dean" had 1% of your class and took thier defeat with an ounce of grace and dignity.
What an interesting turn of events....all we hear for weeks on end is we want your vote, we want your vote...and finally we have someone with enough class to at least say "thank you".
Smitherman did the same thing and was thrown out office the next election.
Berding should learn.
Um, Pavelish, it's not like this was at all "your" idea, and it's not like it's a controversial idea
.
The voters have granted a clean slate after Bruke, Strickland support !
Don't become another grand-standing 'fool'!
After all, next to last with the kind of 'bungal-ing' cash you had should be a wake-up call !
The voters gave you another chance, now represent them !
HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2008 !
Keep up the good work, Jeff. You are a tribute to your West Side roots.

You mean an excellent candidate for city-link residency ?
.
Congrats, Jeff! Here's to another great term on city council.
Please Pavlish, go back to being a slumlord and leave us alone.
Why is it that so many ugly comments and insults are thrown at those who ran for council (or their helpers), the mayor, commissioners, etc. by those bloggers who are afraid to sign in with their true name. What cowards. A little "thank you" would be nice toward those who want to serve. If you don't like their politics, fine, but end the untrue personal attacks. This blog is out of control. Perhaps the Enquirer should stop the "anonymous" attack comments.
And about Mr. Pavelish, this is a man who has given much to the people of Cincinnati, without fanfare, and probably will continue
to give. He and his family have made a positive difference in many peoples lives. His wife passed away at the beginning of the campaign and some people even "laughed" at that. Can you imagine that? Cincinnati, at one time you had class. What went wrong?
ANON - 111:27pm, November 14, 2007...
i have to laugh... you're complaining about people who sign their blogs "anonymous", yet i don't see your name on your post.

I believe that anonymous 11:27 was talking about hateful attacks, not general comments. I agree with anon 11:27. The hate is unbelievable.
