Winburn on Harris

Speaking of two people you might not expect to get along ....

Charlie Winburn, after Monday night's candidates forum in Clifton, was talking fondly about Greg Harris.

Winburn described Harris as "really dynamic" and said, "He has a face you can trust."

Winburn is crazy. We all know that. Half of him is a black racist cloaked in Republican endorsements. The other half is a closet liberal who spouts conservative garbage when he thinks it will help and wears a rainbow flag when he thinks that'll help him. Bottom line, Charlie Winburn is for Charlie Winburn. Everyone else be damned. He makes Jerry Springer look credible.

Harris should be scared if Winburn likes him
At least that means Charlie won't try to perform an exorcism on him like he's been known to do

if all it took was a "face you can trust" then Berding would have never been elected- could he look any more like a weasel? His advisors should can his pics on billboards- an eyesore. And if he drags those kids out for one more photo op I'll puke.

To accuse Charlie Winburn of being a closet racist is off the mark. He's not even for affirmative action! To call him a closet liberal or "pulling out a rainbow flag" when convenient...even more rediculous. He was firmly against the repeal of Article 12 (on this he and I STRONGLY disagree)and he even worked with Phil Burress' extremist right wing group. While I strongly disagree with him on social issues I admire his stance against drug dealers and on crime. On a personal note..I admire his achievements considering he was raised in foster homes and how he temporarily left politics to support his wife who BEAT Cancer! I hope to be friends with him for years to come.Despite our sharply different views on Gay rights I have to defend him when someone accuses him of dishonestly. With CW what you see is what you get.

Hey John it was Charlie who ran that postcard campaigh against Pepper. Later, he withdrew his support of Mallory and backed Pepper. Wonder why? Think David promised to pay Charlie's $200,000.00 campaign debt afetr he got elected?

Oh, and by the way, remember the flyer issue 3 protagonists circulated. It said something like "we are people just like you" but a distorted version "we'll make you people just like us" mysteriously got circulated as well. I saw the check that paid for that distortion, lets ask CW if he still has it. Being honest, I voted against issue 3, but for my own reasons.
