Parties In The Works
UPDATE:
Chris Monzel, after a special 8 p.m. Mass at his church, St. Bernard Church (740 Circle Avenue in Spring Grove Village), will watch the returns in the parish hall.
Greg Harris: Sycamore Place, 7th & Sycamore (634 Sycamore Street, downtown) in the Tavern Room. After 8:30 p.m.
Whether they'll be victory parties or not remains to be seen Tuesday. But here's where some Cincinnati City Council members have decided to celebrate with their supporters.
Vice Mayor David Crowley: Where else? Crowley's pub in Mount Adams.
Leslie Ghiz: Andy's Mediterranean Grill in Walnut Hills.
Steve Pavelish: At home with his son.
Roxanne Qualls: Arnold's, downtown.
14 Comments:
Crowley: Won't have to drive home.
Ghiz: Don't really care for her politics, but a classy lady and a classy restaurant seem to go together.
Qualls: Also appropriate. I think Roxy had her first legal dring there the day it first opened.
How about these rumors:
Pavelish--Northside White Castle.
Jeffre--Chuck E. Cheese's
Sam Malone--Queensgate jail cafeteria.
Laketa Cole--Mary Magdalene House
Others?
Citizens for a Safer Community: Le Boxx Cafe on Vine
Rumors? I thought Kevin Osbourne only blogged at the City Beat blog.
Melanie Bates should have her victory party at Mulligan's in Hyde Park. That would be sweet redemption for her campaign manager, to celebrate her victory in Ghiz' backyard after she fired him and in the place where the Cow Chip Young Right-Wing-Nutjobs, the group that canned him as its pres for not playing their stupid games, holds their meetings.
Let the beers flow for Melanie Bates and Scott Gehring and let the tears flow for Harlow's Handpuppets.

will welcome its supporters to a victory party at Millions Cafe in Mt. Lookout Square. Come help us celebrate the millions of dollars taxpayers will save when the jail tax is defeated.

Someone (first anon.) mentioned that I should spend election night at White Castle in Northside. I want to put on record that I prefer the Hopple St location. But thanks for the suggestion.

I like Greg Harris and voted for him, but remember when he held his election night party in 2004 at "Mr. Pitiful's"? That was pretty funny.
Steve, you're too funny!
Little Jeffre:Under the Suspension Bridge.
Wow. Somebody actually came on here to defend the disgraced former staffer, C. Scott Gehring.
It'll be fun to return to this blog the day after the election. There won't be any roses thrown Scott's way after he sinks the Widow Bates' campaign.
And hey anonymous 11:42 AM [AKA "Scott Gehring"], since you know where we meet, why don't you drop by? I'd like to see you back up your comments in person instead of hiding behind your computer monitor.
Wonder why Harris isn't holding court in Northside where he lives?
