Mallory on Rumor Control

Somehow, word was getting around Friday that funding for next spring's Findlay Market parade on Opening Day was in jeopardy.

The truth, Mayor Mark Mallory said, is that the parade will be funded - "absolutely."

City Council has been working on a plan for funding other festivals and events in the city, including the St. Patrick's Day parade.

I would bet the parades are in jeopardy. When Jeff Berding wants to give more money to the Freedom Center next year, no pool, parade, or police officer is safe. You got to have your priorities man.

I can't wait to see 2 competing bills get introduced for this and then Leslie Ghiz's taxpayer-supported staffers will get a Blue Chip loser to personally attack Chris Monzel for voting for the other one.

Those 2 always make us laugh.

Can't wait to see his black towne car in the parade! Scotty at the wheel, protecting the mayor from his constituents.

They're going to pay for it at the expense of city retirees and by cutting city services through the early retirement incentive(fewer employees, fewer services).

All this fuss was Channel 5 and the power of their 50 dopplers trying to make a story out of absolutely nothing.

Everyone knows the parade will happen. Just like several years ago when they said Riverfest might be cancelled. This town just slays me. Council tripping all over themselves, the Mayor running around with his body guard doing nothing, and television paying people to tell you its hot and to dress in light clothing. Damn I am going nuts!!!!!

Somehow? Try Neil Luken crabbing on Bill Cunningham's show last week. Doesn't anyone there listen to the radio?

Hey, Enquirer political reporters:

You might be interested in checking into this.

After weaving through voluminous amounts of carefully crafted, parsed language and following up on the reporting of news hounds and a daily kos diarist it appears that Sean Hannity and Oliver North are using the name of dead American soldiers to garner profits for a right wing organization masquerading as a charity.

Sean Hannity claims that his concerts are "to benefit the freedom alliance scholarship fund for the children of America's Military heroes featuring Country Music Stars Montgomery Gentry, Leann Rimes, and Lee Greenwood." A closer looks at the facts tell a different story.

This show is coming to Cincinnati later this week. The people of Cincinnati should know the truth about this event.

Well, if the Daily Kos reports it, then it must be true, right?

Hannity belongs in jail.

SO does Boehner.

I mean, if it's written in Daily Kos, it is indisputable evidence, right?

Let's just eliminate the entire criminal justice system in the United States of America and take the Daily Kos' word for everything. Let's cut all those county prosecutors, deputy attorneys general, IRS investigators, OSHA compliance specialists, and just let Kossacks dictate to us.
