Ghiz: Westwood Parents Need Help

Councilwoman Leslie Ghiz was so concerned about the missing 15-year-old Boy Scout in Westwood, she spent some time Wednesday trying to help drum up more attention to the case.

She said she can only imagine what Tony Beard's parents had been going through since he went missing Sunday. As of last night, authorities believed the A student might be camping in Mount Airy Forest.

She went out for awhile last night to help search the forest, which she said was difficult for people because of the heat and because the foliage is so thick.

Leslie Ghiz, showing up for the grandstanding photo op.

After she shows her ugly face there, lots more people will be missing as they run screaming into Mt. Airy Forest.

"...She had planned to call Beard's parents to see what she might be able to do to help...."

She could discontinue the political self-interest and offer assistance without the press !

PATHETIC !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2007 !

Dear Bold Type Person,
I have monitored your posts for a long time now and have been reminded of something I learned back in history class. Please see this website for a great review of your tactics: http://www.maebrussell.com/Articles%20and%20Notes/German%20Propaganda.html

[ "Name Calling" is a device to make us form a judgment without examining the evidence on which it should be based. Here the propagandist appeals to our hate and fear.]

["Glittering Generalities" is a device by which the propagandist identifies his program with virtue by use of "virtue words." Here he appeals to our emotions of love, generosity, and brotherhood.]

[From the fact that "the Führer knows the goal and knows the direction," it follows that his is the supreme testimonial. No authority and no judgment which does not follow from or accord with his can be right. No specialist knows better than he, no recommendation can be better than his.]

Keep on Goosestepping yourself!

"she spent some time Wednesday trying to help drum up more attention to the case"

That should read, "drum up more attention to herself."

When is Leslie going to find the time to live up to her 2005 campaign promise to cut Council salaries? I've been waiting patiently for Ms. Ghiz to keep her word on this issue.

I see it's an election year.

Oh come on everyone, let's have a heart. Just because Leslie's up for re-election in a couple months and she notifies the media that she's going to spend a few minutes looking for a high-profile missing boy, doesn't mean she's doing this to raise her profile.

This is an improvement for Ms. Ghiz. A few weeks ago she was caught harassing a 15 year-old boy in Hyde Park who was helping his dad collect signatures to stop David Pepper's tax increase. This week she's trying to help a 15 year-old boy. This is a big improvement for her in such a short time.

I don't know who this councilwoman is, and personally don't care. But anyone doing anything to help find this missing young man is a positive thing. More of us should come together to help. If it was your child, would you not want all the help you could get to find your child?

I will put my time and effort invested in helping find this child against the sum total of Leslie Ghiz's contribution any day of the week. Scott Gehring spent more time working on the press release than Ghiz did looking for this boy.

Leslie spent time looking for Tony Beard because she has a genuinely caring heart. She is also a good friend of neighbors who live on the same street as The Beard Family. The Hanna Avenue residents are overwhelmingly saddened to think everything must be torn into pieces when someone such as Leslie assists in a 15-year old young gentle-boy's search (who is now deceased). God bless Leslie and all those who continued to do his/her part during those two weeks of the unknown. We will miss our dear Tony! Remember to take into consideration that you are speaking of an intelligent young gentle-boy who never returned home to his family due to his young death. Please stop this political argument and let this family and Tony rest in peace.

i know i have a 15 year old girl and if she went missing...i would hope i had friends and people of authority to help me find my missing child...i dont think theres nothing worse then being scared for your children in this time with all the perverts and people who murder children..i just pray for this family...
