Isn't a darn shame when Leslie Ghiz is the GOPs top vote-getter.

Leslie Ghiz can not survive in the private sector. Most recently, she has been canned by Kohnen & Patton. Before that, she was canned by Thompson, then the City, then Freking and Betz.

Like so many other politicians, she is incapable of surviving in the private sector and brings her attitude to city council.

On top of that, she is arrogant! She thinks she is better than Chris and Charlie and Sam. Well, Ms. Ghiz, you are not.

I have great hope for Sam Malone, Pat Fischer, and John Eby. Too bad the voters probably won't see that these 3 would actually make the city a better place.

Shame on Leslie Ghiz.

The previous poster is obviously Nate Livingston. His writing style is one of a kind.

As with so many things, he gets his facts wrong here again. Ghiz was not fired from her law firm.

Now, there is a local blogger who recently was cited by CPD in Northside for driving without car insurance. And there is a local attorney who is either currently or formerly being sued by seven clients, several of whom have won judgements against him. (This is the same attorney being evicted from his offices.)

"Isn't a darn shame when Leslie Ghiz is the GOPs top vote-getter."

Why should this be such a surprise to anyone? It's about time we had someone with responsibility on City Council. When the going gets murky, I count on Miss Ghiz to ask the tough questions & demand some action.

"On top of that, she is arrogant!"

Uh, the last I looked, this isn't a felony crime. I can relate to this, as I can be a truly arrogant bitch when I choose to be. Why is this such an issue with the complaining, obsessed blogger?

Has anyone noticed that the blogger can't provide any substantiation & proof to support the claim that Miss Ghiz has been sacked from these particular law firms? Pure lies & slander. Only in a blog world could someone do this. However, people are turning up the heat with Google on these tawdry issues. The blogger has admitted to having problems with Google. It's only going to get worse.

Thanks Anon 11:52! Recently, this blog author was stalking around the Media Bridges facility after another female. And no, he isn't riding the bus while the case is being continued.

The local attorney, while hanging clients out to dry is also abusing females, as I'm sure you caught the story recently published in the paper.

However, I can't see the blogger supporting any GOP candidates that was listed other than Sam Malone. The other 2 are white & one is a pro-police supporter who does nothing in the community. Too busy with the political kiss-up.

Re-elect Leslie Ghiz! It's important!!

I think it's so funny how when ever anything negative is written about Ghiz, she immediatly gets on the phone and gets her so called "friends" to write something positive about her...to defend her.

Believe me, she does this constantly...as someone who has both observed and been asked.

Ok. I wanted to post this comment here so that people can look just to the left and see the smoking hot picture of Malia Rulon.

Why can't all news reporters be this good-looking?

Sorry, Kimball.

The void at the top (Mallory's MIA)makes things ripe for the r's, and Winburn and Ghiz are locks. Monzel is probable.

They just might do it. Thomas and Crowley are weak, and Tarbell is out.

And who knows about big mouth Berding...he has fewer and fewer friends.

3 African American males, 3 white males, 1 white female. This slate will be more diverse than the Dems!

Way to go Maggie Nafziger, Exec. Director of the HCGOP.

Strange rumors coming to me from people who were on the GOP screening committee.

They were concerned that Leslie Ghiz was going to publicly denounce the GOP and had already arranged for Charter and Dem endorsements if they did not endorse her.

She was also going to bolt the GOP if they endorsed Sam Malone. Leslie still has serious issues from Malone passing over her to appoint Monzel to Council. She also refuses to honor the verdict of the court and refers to Malone as a "child molester" unless someone corrects her then she calls him a "child beater."

To mollify Leslie, the party is going to pull its endorsement from several, perhaps dozens, of township, city, and village elected officials she disfavors.

She already has her staff and other loyalists talking to potential candidates in several west-side communities who will run against Republican incumbents the party has previously endorsed.

Now, the folks at 700 Walnut aren't going around telling people about this. They want to keep this under wraps in order to maintain the element of surprise and to minimize the open warfare that will ensue.

Those who work for Deters or Hartmann or a judge will probably be protected. Those who have been seen or heard supporting Ghiz' enemies within the party (Heimlich, Malone, Chabot and Brinkman) can kiss their Republican endorsement (and probably their political careers) goodbye.

They are being sacrificed on the altar of appeasing an angry, vindictive woman because the Hamilton County Republican Party is a paper tiger.

Normally, a political party makes its candidates adhere to certain standards in order to keep being backed by the organization. The Hamilton County GOP has it backwards: they are adhering to Leslie Ghiz's demands because they are afraid to lose "their" seat on City Council.

They think Ghiz is a lock for re-election, Monzel is shaky, and the non-incumbents are long shots. Therefore, they fear being totally shut out on Council and will do anything Leslie Ghiz tells them to.

Malone is a bad choice. I'll agree with all the others.

Ghiz has ZERO juice in the party, she has only made her reputation worse since the committee met. Her arrogance is becoming comical. If the she left the party there would be a celebration, followed by a a series of phone calls to make sure no one would give her a penny.

Like her or not, Ghiz has at least taken a stand on council. Malone was completely ineffective and was not re-elected as a result. Winburn is like a bad cartoon character. Monzel is a non event. This slate makes the GOP look like a laughing stock! Seriously, it is beyond pathetic.

Dems in the past 30 some years have turned Cincinnati into a ghost town on the weekends and a dangerous place to be and as I write this I read yet another store is leaving down town. the city is corrupt and can't aggree on anything. If you have ever gone to another city you probly asked yourself "why can't Cincinnati do this". I don't know what the point of fountain square was, that money should have gone to the failing school system. the outlook is not getting better either, but we still keep voteing for the same people to run the city, year after year. Its time for change in the city with new moral values in the city hall. Maby a GOP city would help.
