Dann taps Dayton dude

From Marc Dann's office:

COLUMBUS - Attorney General Marc Dann has named David J. Fierst the new managing attorney of his Cincinnati regional office.

“David is a terrific attorney and a fine individual,” Dann said. “He will do a wonderful job leading the Cincinnati office and ensuring citizens in the region have access to all the resources we can provide.”

Fierst, 50, manages a staff of 34 employees in the Cincinnati office. For most of his 17-year legal career, Fierst, a one-time Army paratrooper, has been an attorney in private practice in the Dayton area, where he specialized in bankruptcy and criminal law. He served as an acting magistrate in the Dayton Municipal Court from 2000 until accepting his new position. He also taught developmental English at Sinclair Community College from the fall of 2004 until now.
“I am very excited about the opportunity I have been given to serve in the Dann

administration,” Fierst said. “The staff of the Cincinnati office has enormous potential to help improve the quality of life for the citizens of this region.”

Fierst earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Indiana University with a concentration in environmental policy. He also holds a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from the University of Louisville.

Fierst and his wife, Bethany, reside in Montgomery County’s Washington Township with their two children.

This obvious re-posting of a press release from a Democratic politician is more blatant proof that the Enquirer is a propaganda machine for the Democratic Party.

Isn't Monzel a Republican?

Think before you post, people.

The sad thing is how often the Enquirer's blog resorts to posting press releases. This is supposed to be a blog, not a PR machine. How about keeping this to original content?

Can someone please post the link to the rules of what is allowed to be posted on a blog? I can't find it anywhere.

"[T]he Enquire is a propaganda machine for the Democratic Party." I'm putting this quote up on my bulletin board for all to see. I'm sure it will receive a good number of hearty chuckles. I can handle claims by republicans that the media in general is 'liberal.' While I don't necessarily agree with that statement, I do see their point every once in a while. But to say that the Enquirer is a 'progaganda machine' is seriously the most laughable thing I've read on this blog- and that is definitely saying a lot.

We must, we must, we must conform !

Your rules can be found by searching terms such as Mao, Stalin, Lennon, marxist, communist manifesto, the little red book !

Please, follow the rules !

Call the rest of us revolutionaries as we rely on the first amendment !

PATHETIC !

Who cares if they post a press release? If you knew anything about how news organizations work, you would know that most of the information they get is from press releases and the news wires. Now, had the press release attacked a Republican, then I would expect to see some kind of conservative response. You obviously don't read the Enquirer if you think they're a propaganda machine for the Democratic party. Just take a look at their endorsements.

Anon 3:40,

Oh, yes, I remember all those Republicans the Enquirer endorsed, like John Cranley, David Pepper, Jennifer Brunner, and the Irish dude who got busted for violating campaign laws in the judge race.

In the past, when this blog has posted press releases from Republican offices, bloggers on here have pointed to them as proof of a Republican bias of the paper.

For some reason, the same cannot be said when they post Democrat press releases verbatim too.

I do read the Enquirer each and every day. While they may have leaned Republican in the past, when the publisher was a former Republican Congressman, those days are long gone.

The Enquirer reporters and editorial page has been leaning left for quite some time now.
