Cheviot leader: Add no Pepper

At Wednesday night's televised debate, David Pepper belittled the help Hamilton County is providing Cheviot's redevelopment efforts.

The move earned Pepper -- the Democrat challenging incumbent Republican Commissioner Phil Heimlich -- a rebuke today from some Cheviot leaders who insist Hamilton County, under Heimlich, has done much to assist Cheviot.

They are holding a 1 p.m. press conference today at Cheviot City Hall, 3814 Harrison Ave.

Here is the press release issued minutes ago from those leaders.

The cheviot wRong wingnut misleaders are certainly able to demonstrate what they are willing to do for the good of their community !

Hey, I know let's slam our future county commissioner. We won't need his help in the future !

If their community and grandstanding misleading press release is an example of the hindlick maneuver:

WE say "NO THANKS" it makes "US Choke".

I can't believe the fishwrap reports this trash when they fail to report the assault on our constitutional rights by Connie Pillich's opponent and the Ohio wRong wingnut party !

PATHETIC !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2006 !

Pepper was only repeating what the MAYOR OF CHEVIOT told him, not Heimlich's Republican buddies (one of whom apparently works for Pat DeWine).

Wasn't Mike Laumann the Mayor of Cheviot at one point? What is he doing these days?

Council members and business leadership need to be careful - worse than just dishing dirt - they may be setting them up for a comunity backlash come time for their re-elections.
They are disconnected fromtheir community.
Communities don't embrace "talk" they embrace results. The "Doer" has failed inthis regard to the citizens of Cheviot.

Commissioner Heimlich has been no friend to the city if Cheviot. Where was he when our community needed help in the cost of moving the County Civil Defense siren ( our first line of defense). Oh yeah, he voted no! Where was he when we needed help with the sewer problems on Kenker Ave. Again, voted no! It is interesting to note that a few of these councilmen actually work for the County or have a child who does. Could this be their motivation for this ridiculous press release? For Commissioner Heimlich to show up right before an election is highly questionable to anyone with any intelligence. I quess that doesn't include these Councilpeople. By the way, where were the Democratic members of Council? Seems as if they were the intelligent ones. Heimlich??? No thanks!!!

Check the record buddy. it was Commissioner Dowlin that voted no when Cheviot needed sewer help. Commissioner Heimlich broke with his Republican counterpart and voted to help Cheviot with its sewer problems. Nice try though.

David Pepper is a rich brat who probably couldn't find Cheviot on a map before this election. If he looses I can guarantee he will never spend another minute in Cheviot.
