Schmidt and the nuclear waste proposal

FYI, Rep. Jean Schmidt's pre-primary campaign finance report filed with the Federal Election Commission lists a recent contribution from the president of USEC, the energy company that is building a centrifuge uranium enrichment plant in Piketon, the same site where another group is seeking a DOE permit to build a nuclear waste recycling plant.

No cite for the source that broke the story I see. That's ok, as long as the truth gets out there.

Why don't you post what the Union members in Piketown think?

Heck, why don't you actually post what Jean Schmidt thinks?

It's not a nuclear waste dump!

Malia,
According to Wulsin's letter she fully supports the USEC plant in Piketon so does Schmidt. The guy happens to give Schmidt a campaign contribution. The USEC company has nothing to do with the study Pike County requested nor the companies involved. Malia, your problem is that you believe Nate Noy. Didn't you learn after the marathon issue that Nate has no clue what the truth is. Pretty soon you will be on the same level of journalism as your buddy the Whistleblower.

I can't believe that Malia copied Nate Noy's story and didn't give him credit for it.

Wouldn't it be something if this whole election ended up being decided in the hills and towns of Pike County Ohio.

This election is very close.

I love Pike County! The people who live here are very special to me.

It is Schmidt who has torpedoed jobs at Piketon. She colluded with DOE and SONIC to put forward the spent fuel plan as an excuse for DOE to not clean up the site and to postpone decommissioning of the old gaseous diffusion plant.

There was a $300 million trust fund to pay for cleanup and decommissioning. That is now gone, raided by the Bush administration. Schmidt and DOE wanted to cover that up and so proposed this insane idea of dedicating the site to future waste storage.

They jeopardized hundreds of real cleanup jobs by doing this. But now they have failed and they failed becaose of Vic Wulsin.

On November 1, Ohio EPA sent a letter to DOE demanding that DOE implement a cleanup and decommissioning plan for Piketon, as is required by existing agreements with the state of Ohio, backed by Strickland and Wulsin campaign demands.

That is what will save and create jobs at Piketon for the short-term. When the dumping scheme is investigated after the election, some of its proponents may wind up going to jail. That is why they have rushed to support Schmidt at the last moment.

With that kind of friend, who needs enemies !

If he was any kind of friend he would drop the former candidate title and acknowledge that wulsin kicked the schmidt right out of him 3 to 1 !

He is still a loser, campaigning for himself !

He undermines her efforts as he attempts to gain credibility !

She earned the title of chosen candidate !

Loser jim's ego won't let him accept the fact that the voters:

"DO NOT WANT HIM, PERIOD !

Just because he attempted to employ himself, off the backs of taxpayers, does not lend any credibility to his SELF-SERVING posts.

The fact is, he is a loser former candidate !

Heck, sock-puppet, loser jim:

MOVE ON .org !
