Bush coming back to Cinci - Sept. 25

President Bush is coming to Ohio again for another fundraiser for Sen. Mike DeWine, a Republican from Cedarville who faces a difficult re-election campaign against Democratic Rep. Sherrod Brown of Lorain, Ohio.

POTUS has already attended a Feb. 23 funder for DeWine at the Indian Hill home of Mark and Margie Hauser and a June 30 event for DeWine in at a private home near Columbus. First lady Laura Bush has even campaigned for DeWine, holding an Aug. 16 event in Kettering.

UPDATED: Bright orange invitations HAVE gone out! We just got a copy.

The Sept. 25 event will be held at the Indian Hill home of John & Eileen Barrett. Those who want to take a photo with the president are invited to a 4:30 p.m. event; the dinner reception starts at 5 p.m. A photo costs $10,000 each; attending the reception is $5,000 each. The money raised is for both DeWine and the Ohio Republican Party.

Hosts for the event include Barrett, head of Western & Southern Financial Group and brother of former Hamilton County Republican chairman - now federal judge - Michael Barrett.; insurance firm owner Mark Hauser; Cincinnati businessmen Carl Lindner & Carl Lindner, Jr.; Cintas Corp. Chairman Dick Farmer; Reds CEO Bob Castellini; Office of Management and Budget Director Rob Portman; Cincinnati developer Bob Rhein; Cincinnati businessman and Reds partner Larry Sheakley; Hamilton County Republican Party Chairman George Vincent; Reds partner Tom Williams.

Oversight? Rep. Jean Schmidt, the Miami Township Republican who represents the 2nd District, where the fundraiser is being held, is NOT listed among the event hosts.

Robert Greenwald's new movie Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers is creating quite a buzz in the media.

The New York Times review says:

"Mr. Greenwald compiles a horrifying catalog of greed, corruption and incompetence among private contractors in Iraq, focusing primarily on Halliburton, Blackwater Security Consulting and CACI International... the movie goes on to trace connections between the contractors and the Republican Party, assert the buying of influence and explores what it says are questionable accounting systems that encourage an exorbitant waste of taxpayer money. And that's just the first 30 minutes."

The Los Angeles Times says the film could "unite viewers across all political spectra."

Halliburton, Dick Cheney and Republican leaders everywhere don't want you to see this movie, especially in October, just a few weeks before Election Day. That's why over 100 DFA groups around the country have already set-up a screening of Iraq for Sale so you can see it FREE.

Search for a free screening:

They left Jean out again! This is like when Boehner was supposed to show up at Jean's fundraiser in Sharonville, but stood her up. I don't blame him though, I would rather play golf than go to a Jean Schmidt fundraiser.

Would you invite Jean to your home? The only invitations that she has received lately are from the Ohio Elections Commission. The real Republican Party wants noting to do with her, as she has embarrassed us enough.

Lots of those invitations around - not much of a host list -
perhaps, the Republicans for Strickland are also becoming Republicans for Brown?
That host list looks pretty much like a neighborhood barbeque - with a little more Hail to their Chief thrown in.

Looks like the "powers" that be don't want anything to do with "Mean Jean," as she is known in Anderson Township. Now, I wonder if the republicans will vote for her opponent, Dr. Victoria Wulsin?

Bush is the greatest president since God's other son, Ronald Reagan...

Orange invitations to continue to exploit the Homeland Security alerts. How 'bout Bush spend more time tracking Osama down and less time burning up taxpayer money on Air Force One jaunts across the country. Is anyone else sick and tired of this?
And frankly, Jean has more supporters than blinky DeWiner. Bush should throw that guy overboard already.

Hey Green Hornet,
IF Bush had made the Right decisions in the first place, instead of the wRongwing decisions, he wouldn't be so stressed out. Wiping out 230 years of liberties in eight years IS hard work, I agree with that!!!!!!!

The use of Airforce One costs taxpayers $56,000 per minute. Using Airforce One to fundraise is a ripoff of the public trust whether it's Clinton or Bush. For the record Bush has beat Bill Clinton's record in using Airforce One for fundraising.

Thanks John & Eileen Barrett for wasting taxpayer money. Hamilton County taxpayers will also be footing the bill for the extra security.

I must say Dewine -- unlike Jean Schmidt -- does not always march "shoulder to shoulder" with the President. I imagine he'll be with the likes of John McCain, Lindsey Graham, John Warner in saying, No, to torture. I might even vote for him in a day when one-party rule is over, but not this election.

But standing with the President has trashed our good reputation in the world, the economy, the job market, gas prices, college tuition, health insurance, and on and on. It was even the Brits -- not the POTUS and his gang -- that foiled the terrorist plot in the UK, and they did it with police work and intelligence.

My bad I meant to say operating Air Force One costs $56,000 per hour.
