Mallory-Bolton debate a no-go

There will be no public debate between the two principal Democratic candidates in the 32nd Ohio House District race between now and Tuesday's election.

Candidate Eve Bolton issued the challenge, picked the venue (a parish hall in Northside), named a time for the debate (2 p.m. Sunday) but her opponent, Dale Mallory, said no to the arrangement through a campaign spokesman.

"To assume that your campaign could simply pick the dates, format, time limits, and deadline for acceptance is not only naive but insulting,'' Mallory campaign spokesman Dan Phenice wrote in an e-mail to Bolton campaign manager Martha Gitt.

The Bolton campaign, Phenice wrote, has teamd up with "Mallory Haters.''

Gitt wrote back saying that the Bolton campaign was willing to neogtiate on the subject of ground rules and moderators.

"I'm sorry you have taken this stall tactic approach to setting up a debate but so be it,'' Gitt wrote. "Hopefully we will see you and your candidate on Sunday.''

Good, Eve Bolton is worthless. She is a serial office seeker who's only skill seems to be losing. Eve, STOP RUNNING FOR OFFICE. You are the worst campaigner I have ever seen. IF EVE WINS DEMOCRATS WILL LOSE THIS SEAT.

Why would Mallory want to debate Eve, it does nothing for him. What is the point, he is the front runner and having a debate will only let Eve take pot shots at him. She doesn't seem to have any other platform except that she doesn't like Mallory. Additionally, it is not worth the time for the 5 voters who will pay attention.

Eve should get in her pick-up truck, drive to Hollywood, and see if she can get a job as a Rosie O'Donnel look-alike.

Has Wilkinson seen the whole email? Does he have it? If so, why not post the entire email on this blog?

Wow, looks like the Dems have a cut-and-runner like the Repubs. Has Mallory been talking debate avoidance strategy with Schmidt?

Schmidt is an expert at avoiding debates. Of course, anyone who watched Schmidt's WLWT performance knows how bad she is at debating (can't remember questions, stutters, talks about seven cyclinder car engines, can't remember names, etc.). So maybe Mallory is just as bad at debating so that's why he is avoiding them like the original cut-and-runner, Jean Schmidt!

Let's De-Elect Schmidt on May 2.

Bob McEwen and Eve Bolton, there's a team for the future.

They keep losing and losing, but just don't seem to get it. I say they run for president next, because together I bet they have as many losses as Abraham Lincoln did, 11.

It's over for Dale4Sale. Judge saw through the charade yesterday. Saw through Lawson's lie about having to be at the Grand Jury with Howard the Hitman.

Hitman was arraigned by the Grand Jury today.

He lied to Channel 12, lied in Court documents about Jenkins' address, lied about being WECC President, putting a felon convicted of bribery on a non-profit board...when does the lying stop & the truth begin?

On his mailers, he states he'll stand for integrity in government. One has to know what integrity is before holding any level of government responsible.

This is exactly the fodder we do not want to represent us in any form of government. I believe this state & this country have had enough of the lies, crookedness, dirty deals & intrigues.

I haven't made up my mind yet, but one thing is clear - this is yet another Mallory that will not get my vote!

IF DALE WINS DEMOCRATS WILL LOSE THIS SEAT.

You'll then see a bunch of Dems turn Rep in the polling kiosks.

Mallory is the best chance the Dems have for retaining this seat. While you may have a personal hatred for Mallory (or black people in general judging by comments) it fascinating that you think that Eve Bolton would have a better chance to win the general election.

Eve is a serial office seeker, who's talents include negative campaigning, being devoid of ideas, and LOSING ELECTIONS. She is a terrible campaigner, who's abrasiveness seems to turn off every voter she meets. In addition, her only "experience" in public office was when she was elected because of her opponents scandals and then proceeded to mess up the Recorder's office so bad that she was kicked out by a huge margin.

In terms of character, Eve is the person who lacks any character at all. Her entire campaign has consisted of her trying to smear her opponent, who happens to be a fellow Dem. In addition, you only need to look to who she is associating with to see that she lacks any integrity at all. A campaign with Martha Goode and Marlyn Hyland is something to stay away from.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a HUD audit and a FBI investigation of Dale's dealings with the empowerment zone.

If Dale wins the primary the Democrats may not even have a candidate by the time we get to November.
