Boehner the jetsetter

A new report released today by the liberal Campaign for a Cleaner Congress claims that House Majority Leader John Boehner, R-West Chester, is quite the world traveler - and golfer extraordinaire.

In fact, the group is claiming that Boehner has taken more lobbyist-funded trips, campaign jaunts and golfing excursions than he has made trips back to his Ohio district!

Boehner's office says the report is misleading and that the congressman travels home to Butler County on most weekends.

Check out the report for yourself here.

Read a story on the report in the Hamilton Journal News here.

Well if the Republicans weren't so damn corrupt they wouldn't write any bad articles. This is a Republican rag, you'd have to be blind not to cover this blatant corruption, especially in Ohio.

Hey wing nut, where is that analysis you promised !

Why don't you talk about chabot returning delay's dirty money ?

Why don't you talk about buckwheat blackwell suppressing his own race vote ?

Why don't you talk about a republican governor who is a convicted crook while in office ?

Why don't you talk about county taxpayers paying to have greg heartless name plastered on all those county signs ?

Why don't you talk about a county prosecutor who funnels tainted funds into the local party Laundromat ?

Why don't you talk about your local party misleader, vincent, who signed off on unlawful, deceiving and misleading judicial campaign advertisements ?

Do you need more positive things from the wrong wing nut ?

At least they cover Republicans. After a month of knowing Stephanie Dumas is on the ballot for County Commissioner not one word!!!

Well, her entrance in the race is hardly news, since she's going to get it handed to her in May.

TB,
You're an anti-democratic moron. You'd fit right in at the Enquirer and Democratic party chair. Of course it's news worthy that Stephanie Dumas is running.
A.She's on the ballot
B.She's more qualified than DP.
C.She's a proven winner and he's a million dollar loser. His political career is coming to an end.

Anon: Or, perhaps maybe we should start calling you SD...

Winning in Forest Park hardly makes you qualified to win county-wide. What makes SD (you?) the better candidate?

Looks like the SD operatives are running wild and free ?

This Blue Blood would like to know what makes SD better than Pepper.

I was an advocate against Pepper for mayor, yet, I think he may be the right guy at the right time for county commission.

You better start selling SD.

That is if you want me to buy your candidate !

Well somebody has to do it. Around here ya'll talk like Pepper and Heimlich are the only ones running and it's not true. Why should Cincinnati have to choose between a theif a liar when you have a viable candidate who is not either one. If you've lived around here long enough you know that what the Enquirer doesn't say is for more important than what they do say.

I have met Stephanie Dumas. I asked her some hard questions and she gave damn good answers.

Her website is here: Dumas 2006.com

She has an interview on the Cincinnati Beacon here that will tell you more about who Dumas is and what she stands for here: Dumas Interview

I did an editorial myself about why the Eqnuirer isn't covering her and there's a long discussion about it here: County Commissioners Race is Still a Secret

It's not planned, it's just true. No one has to ask me to blog for Dumas. I do it gladly because people need to know there's another candidate out there. That's what you do when feel strongly about something. Heck folks email their friends and post blog comments about anything and everything. Surely posting about a candidate you feel strongly about is just as worthy.

Don't try to make it into astroturf honey because it's truly grassroots. I read about her another blog and decided I would do my part to help get her elected. It just doesn't get any more American than that.
