Looks like Wulsin supports "recycling"

If you tune in tonight to watch the Iowa caucus results (because, you know, what else would you watch?!) pay attention because you might see Democrat Victoria Wulsin's "new" TV ad.

Except it's not really totally "new." Turns out the ad uses video from an old Wulsin ad that ran in 2006. But it has a "new" audio track, some new images and a new message. As her campaign spokesman Josh Levin put it in an e-mail, "It's a new cut."

"We wanted to capture the caucus-night audience, and were able to put this together quickly," he explained.

Hey, no sweat. We all support recycling. And it makes sense: Wulsin is running in the same district against (likely) the same opponent. (Although that could be like wearing the same dress to the same party two years in a row... Not that we notice these kinds of things...)

Wulsin is running in the 2nd Congressional District, where she could once again challenge Republican Rep. Jean Schmidt. (Schmidt faces two GOP challengers in the primary - Phil Heimlich and Tom Brinkman.)

Back to her ad.

It's called "Pledge" and it's about health care. Basically, Wulsin is pledging to refuse the health care plan offered to members of Congress until Congress "does its job and passes affordable health care for all."

Wulsin’s pledge takes after a similar one that Gov. Ted Strickland made when he first ran
for Congress in 1992. While he was in Congress, Strickland mailed a check every month to the U.S. Treasury to pay for his health coverage. In the ad, Wulsin promises to do the same.

Watch her "new" ad HERE.

And don't miss the "old" ad HERE.

Wulsin, gets our vote all around !

I told you this, great lady, party loyalty thing was going to work. Bring on the Gay Rights support for this fine lady of politics!

It didn't work for daddy, but it will work for her.

Bold Endeavors not the Dem's political total savior, but with help, the Gay Movement definitely is for Wulsin!

Heck, Wulsin had only late support and dang-near kicked the 'culture of corruption', foot-tapping, sweet jeans and exciting those of us at Bold Endeavors!

Can't we just go back to being friends of the Gay Movement so we can keep those tax dollars going to Aids Research?

Come on,vote fpr Wulsin !

PATHETIC 'family values' !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE, for a real, DEMOCRAT 2008 Wulsin & Gay Rights!

How is it that Malia Rulon is employed by a major metropolitan newspaper? Instead of discussing the real issue of health care, her focus is on the re-use of some old video footage.

It boggles my mind. Aren't there any decent political writers the Enquirer could hire in her place?

Vic Wulsin has absolutely no plan for health care.

at 7:41 PM, January 03, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Yeah 7:00 - and hopefully she doesn't have a "plan" for the IRAQ fiasco, ala Jeannie.

Malia Rulon is NOT the problem. The problem is that we keep voting for people who can't win against Jean Schmidt.

Victoria Wulsin is probably covered by her husband's health insurance. So what if she doesn't take health care coverage from Congress. She is still covered.

In November 2006, the National Council Against Health Fraud filed a complaint against Dr. Wulsin's medical license with the State Medical Board of Ohio.

Ms. Rulon, would you please contact the medical board and Dr. Wulsin and inquire about the status of the complaint?

(This message is also being e-mailed to Malia Rulon and editor Carl Weiser.)

Clearly, Victoria Wulsin is confused about the priorities of the consituents of the second district. Health care? Are you kidding me?

How about we elect someone with REAL ideas, REAL experience, and a REAL chance of winning like STEVE BLACK!

Government sponsored health care.

BRILLIANT!

Just what we need, the same people who run the DMV running our health care system.

Are Democrats really so stupid as to believe that government can do it better than private enterprise?

Sure, let's remove competition, therefore removing incentive!

Steve Black is a republican. There will be some kind of health care reform under the next administration; having a doctor in congress would be helpful. Mean Jean almost got beat last time; in 2008 the times are a changin'.

That's just silly, Vic Wulsin is a doctor. Medical license #35.058016, as found on the state's web site.

at 12:51 PM, January 04, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Now that's just silly. Her medical license number is 35.058016 and according to the state medical board she's good through October 2009.

If Vic couldn't beat Jean last election, when Jean's antics were fresher in the minds of the electorate, I highly doubt she could now. Steve Black, though more conservative, has a way better chance and would be a good moderate voice of reason. I think he's the one for Democrats to choose, even the myopic ones who think being radically liberal is moderate reason. Besides, anything is better than Jean... Wulsin won't get it done.

When is the last time "Doctor" Victoria Wulsin actually laid hands on a patient in the State of Ohio?

Check the National Practitioner Data Bank...

More pathetic right-wing anonymous smears on the internet. Typical of you right-wingers to resort to such sleaze. "I bet Wulsin's not even a real doctor..." Ridiculous.

How did those smear attacks work for Ernie Fletcher and Ken Blackwell? Not too good, eh?

Wulsin claims that she is not the foot-tapping Bold Typist.

To the anon who keeps claiming that Wulsin is not a licensed doctor, search Victoria Wells. She's licensed under her maiden name.

Simple as that.

Get over yourself and next time, do your research a bit better. There is no conspiracy.
