Red-Light Cameras "Voyeuristic"?

Greg Delev, a Cincinnati attorney who's running for the state House of Representatives in the 34th district, says the city's proposal for cameras that catch drivers running red lights is voyeuristic and "prostitutes the hard-working people of Cincinnati to balance a wasteful city budget."

It appears council's intent, he wrote in a press release this week, is more to generate money than to protect citizens and their rights to privacy.

“As Americans we should be outraged by this “big brother” mentality. My father came from a Communist country and even the Communists would not go to such lengths to control citizens or extort money due to budget shortfalls. If such extreme measures are taken to control our driving behaviors, then where does the infringement upon our privacy stop?”

When - not if - he's elected to the legislature, Delev wrote that he'll "end this practice so all citizens can enjoy a modicum of privacy from the government’s prying eyes. "

We knew they had cameras in the red-light district ?

Big brother will now be watching me as I foot-tap in City Hall restrooms!

We must, we must, we must not conform to big brother!

This will be another reason my friends will be very nervous while hanging around City Hall.

There goes the rights of Bold Endeavors!

First it was to chase us from Mt. Airy Park, now it is to take away our freedom of meeting in public restrooms!

Take your cameras and stick-um up your ****ing **s !

PATHETIC: Dems acting like wRong wingnut whackos !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE green !

Delev makes a lot of sense and I might even vote for him. However, his decision to seek the Gang of Pedophiles' endorsement causes me to question his sanity. I know we are supposed to vote for the person and not the party. however, I have to question the sanity or judgement of anyone who wants to associate with the party of illegal wars, negating our Constitutional rights, allowing large corporations to rip us off and sell us poisonous products, tolerating child sex predators in their ranks, and a whole bunch of other damaging acts.

We are supposed to believe that both parties want to improve the country, but is clear to me that one party would kill or rape us all for the sake of making a couple extra dollars.

Finally: a politician with a spine and *alls big enough to have the use-less ***ing idiot of the NAZI party (tnp) drolling on her foot-tapping, sweet jeans, message board !

PATHETIC 'family values' !

anon 7:36 (above) you are foolish with your comments about America. I don't agree with some things that go on in D.C, but get real. You give a bad name to Democrats. Merry Christmas.

Anon 9:35,

THis is 7:36 again. I am not a Democrat. Not by a long shot. Most of my beliefs are on the right side of the spectrum. I have just become thoroughly disgusted at the Republican Party as an organization. They have no interest in passing good legislation or in governing conservatively. The elected officials in the GOP at the current time, from the Courthouse to the White House, are far more interested in looting the government for themselves and their families, acting out their most bizarre sexual fantasies behind closed doors, and just generally out to have a good time. They also have a deep and abiding hatred of those who are not like them. I've seen it. I've heard it. I've experienced it.

They are a bunch of frat boys and sorority girls who never grew up.

I used to post under the name ExGOP. Notice that it is not "Current Dem."
It never will be.

I would like to meet the foot-tapping bold typist. Maybe we could tap a few tunes together while being serviced by the Bold Endeavors Band

I know where ex-GOP is coming from. I'm a Democrat who's left of center. But the current Democrats are so far to the left and so disrespectful of the voters that I'm forced to vote straight-ticket Republican. I'm even forced to use derogatory names to refer to my old party. You must me and ex-GOP when we say we're sincere.

Anytime a government places cameras, anywhere, to monitor citizen movement and activity, the slope gets more slippery.
Each intrusion just leads to the next. This is very scary...

There is no privacy right within the public right of way. And voters don't like candidates who use "modicum" in conversation.

I seem to recall some weirdness with money lent to Delev's last campaign- some conflict with the bank he borrowed it from. Any idea how that resolved itself?

"....privacy right within the public right of way..."

Typical wRong wingnut whacko, PERIOD !

There is privacy anywhere the voters say there is privacy !

Certainly, if one is walking down the street, there is a right of privacy regarding removing their cloths and viewing their body isn't there ?

If an individual were behind following you, would that not be stalking ?

Now, that individual can sit miles away and follow you with a joy stick !

Cameras are designed to see right through your clothing. After all, you may be a terrorist with a fake birth certificate !

Leave it to the perverted (gop) Grand Old Pedophiles wishing to sit around foot-tapping all day with their hand on their joy-stick and lashing the whip-and-chain by foley-fondling your money pocket hoping to make you drop your pants and bend you over the barrel !

Your position reminds us of the individuals that say: I don't care if I'm stopped and searched , I have nothing to hide !

It was that mind-set that allowed the use-less ****ing idiots of the NAZI party (tnp) to prefer blue-eyed Blondie's !

Your have made your banker, CHINA, proud !

PATHETIC 'family values' !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2008 !

Let's see now. Over time we've seen repetitions of "fondling," several references to Rep. Foley, numerous items involving "foot-tapping" in public restrooms, many mentions of ---king --s, buckets of fixations on elephant feces, frequent inclusions of the word "pedophile" and finally an admission of "us" being chased "from Mt. Airy Park." My goodness, the reason for the rage of the idiot bold typist becomes clear. He hates himself and everybody else. I don't blame him. No wonder he's a damned Democrat, or is it a Green? Well, he's ruined the political dialogue on this blog.
The sleaze and twistedness make me sick, especially when it's expressed as incoherent rage. And like flies to the elephant poop he dotes on, he's beginning to attract others like him. I think it's time to vacate the premises for good.

I think you need to lighten up. Let me help you crack the code. There are some very serious issues confronting us these days and we all need to do some self-examination. You know…. a check-up from the neck-up? Bold Endeavors serves to make us all examine ourselves in a manner that is humorous. If one is in good humor, one can make clear decisions.

The people that we vote for are given control of the American trust. We expect them to be the overseer of the fruit of our labor, sometime called taxes, is spent in a prudent fashion. No more, no less. We are not getting our money’s worth out of either party and bold boy chooses to level his rhetoric at the Republican hypocrites.

Notice that he is not scathing CONSERVITIVES???

Are you a Republican first or a conservative first??

I’m dying to know.

I am disgusted at the tactic Greg Delev is using in his run for 34th District State Rep. Not only are his ads misleading voters into thinking he has public office experience, he is sending flat out LIES about his opponents - anyone who is this unsophisticated I DO NOT WANT REPRESENTING ME. A recent postcard was sent claiming Russ Jackson was taxing and spend our money to build "Jackson's Palace". This palace is the new Anderson Twp COMMUNITY Center. It is a wonderful building that houses the trustee's offices, management offices, the Chamber of Commerce, reception rooms and an amazing theater for the Beechmont Players. This beautiful center was needed for Anderson to stay economically competitive and to finally give the community a focal point and a place to gather around. Anderson Twp has not had any tax increases since 2000, the new Anderson Towne shopping center is supporting its own weight and its tenants are paying taxes unlike those at Rookwood. Russ Jackson and the other 3 trustees have worked hard to make a better place for families with out making us pay for it. If Delev can not be supportive his own township, recognize a community's need to evolve to survive, hear that the people of Anderson really wanted this Center, then how could he possibly get it right at at a District level.
