Hartman should be worried. A horrible candidate who relies on his wife's money and connections.

You will find him most evenings at a downtown watering hole with other republican pols.

Paper pusher. Not even sure he's qualified for that. Anon 12:53 is right about the wife's money and connections.

Another useless Hamilton County Republican. This area will never turn around if we don't through more of these folk out.

All I know is, Hartmann came out to our club meeting and spoke, pointing out that his office came in under budget every year he's been in office and gave back some number (know it was over a million $$) that was left over back to the taxpayers. That is music to my ears, especially in these tough budget times.

Why can't the clerks office place cases back on the docket when the Fed's send the action back to state court ?

How can SS# and personal information become published on the web ?

Let-tuce help:

Incompetence and lack of leadership !

PATHETIC 'family values' !

I think Hartmann is one of our better Hamilton County officials. My social security number was stolen before he came into office because the security of that office was so lax. After Hartmann took over it became one of the easiest and best government websites to use. I'm going to vote to re-elect him!

FACT: Hartmann is HATED by the local legal community.

FACT: The Republicans are going to get their arses kicked in the upcoming election, and they know it. Hence all of the incumbent retirements and the public hates them so much that the GOP can't raise any significant money.

FACT: Hartmann is yet another ingrained, family connection wingnut welfare case.

Fact: If a right wing 'local club' (read: COAST and/or their sock puppet group, the Young Republicans)endorses them, it's the Kiss Of Death for Hartmann.

Goodbye and Good Riddance!!

Hartmann may be a carpetbagger from Texas, but he's an effective public servant. What counts is results. The democRATS have no chance against him.

Hartmann is the kind of Republican we need more of. He hasn't supported all the tax increases the Republicans and Democrats have tried to force down us. Hartmann opposed Bob Taft's tax increases and called for Taft's resignation, while most politicians around here (like Jean Schmidt and Bill Seitz) got it backwards. He does his job well and is easy to talk with. We need to keep the good guys like Hartmann.

"...have no chance against him. 12:47 AM, December 11, 2007.."

Oh, history has revealed the right party can easily defeat him !

Welcome, Jennifer !

Some of you moonbats need to get a clue about politics...

Riddle me this... Besides John Cranley and maybe and this is a stretch (Paul Hackett) what Democrat could run an effective countywide campaign against an incumbant like Joe Deters or Greg Hartmann

Answer = NO ONE!

Both of these guys could drop million and half on you in the blink of an eye! That is a lot of commercial time in a Presidential Year. There isn't one democrat outside of Cranley or Hackett that could raise even $300k county wide.

So please before you start wacking away on your keyboards... think before you type. These guys aren't going anywhere and you sound stupid thinking that someone is going to rise up and challenge them.

"....Both of these guys could drop million and half on you in the blink of an eye!...."

That certainly helped hindlick, didn't it ?

That certainly helped bushwell, didn't it ?

If heartless really wanted the clerk's job, he would not have ran for SOS !

Whom wants to elect someone to their second choice position ?

Someone, needs to look at how much money the parties have nationally !

One call to action could bring any Dem $250,000 overnight online.

Everyone is ready to get rid of both heartless and: 'deters the cheaters' !

PATHETIC 'family values' !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2008 !

How many like Anon 4:03PM said the same thing before Portune and Pepper kicked Beddinghause and Hiemlich? Both thr repugs had far more money than either Dem, yet both lost. Deters the Cheater has got a blindspot a mile wide; his corruption that sent him scurrying out of Columbus and crawling back to Cincinnati, where he will spend the rest of his sad career.

The Lawyers hate Hartmann, as do the court house employees. He's made some powerful enemies and would be ripe target for a decent oppenent.

No Repugnicant is going to win in 2008. 2006 was just a warm-up. Dem Prez with veto-proof majorities in the House and Senate. Governor Strickland and Governor Brashear will have the same. All contested Repugs running countywide in HamCo are going down. Jim Raussen and Loser Blessing, too.

Last year, Reugs got slaughtered with Bush at 36% approval. Now that he is at 24, it is only going to get worse. Think it was bad when gas cost $2 per gallon? Try being an incumbent Repug tied to Big Oil when it's $3.

Think it was bad defending the NeoCon war with 3,000 Americans dead? Try it when 5,000 are dead!

Think it was a bad economy when the dollar was at par with the Euro? Try running as an incumbent Repug when it's below the Canadian dollar. What's next, the Lira?

And that is before we learn what the higerups in the White House knew and when about illegal waterboarding.

And the most likely Repug presidential nominess have bizzarre religious beliefs that most of the country finds, well, Repugnant.

I missed the good old old days when we had 2 parties with reasonable differences. Now we have one mainstream party and one party off the edge whose ideas are ruining our nation.

Go to his fundraiser on Wednesday and find out how many lawyers "hate" Greg. Please look at the circumstances involved with how Portune and Pepper rode into office.

Todd ran as the anti-Bengalhaus candidate... wasn't hard to win after the mess PBS was became public.

Pepper on the other hand had great name id and was respected on both sides of the aisle... plus he raised 1 million dollars!

I gave you your two biggest names left to run countywide and if Im John Cranley Im picking Dewine, not Greg or Joe.

As for the foot-tapping bold typist... if you think the DNC is going to pump one dollar into a local race in a Presidential year you are... well we all already know you are out of your mind. So please go back to your stall now.

here's an idea...why don't all you big hearted liberals round up the remaining republicans in hamilton county, get'em tattoo'd,and stick'em in the ovens? then you can have your bent utopia here in what used to be a great city...now...it's a toilet.
peace,out,yo.

Anon 9;25,

You are correct with the drubbing that Republican candidates took in '06. You fail to mention all of the conservitive mandates that passed across the country, such as the same sex marrage that was pounded across the country, Michigan voters distroyed affirmitive action, New Mexico voted English official State speech
to name a few.
Conservitives know how to kick their dead wieght to the curb. You and your ilk keep your crooks on pedstols.

Is Hartmann still a defendant in that lawsuit from his time in San Francisco as reported last time he ran for an office?

You've got it all wrong, 1:08 PM. Get your facts straight before you come on a blog and lie.

If truth-telling were a prerequisite to blog here, then Scott Gehring could save some money and cancel his ISP.
