Garry: I'll Be Back

In an e-mail Sunday night to supporters, unsuccessful Cincinnati City Council candidate Brian Garry says he'll run again in 2009.

He says he feels blessed to have raised more than $55,000 in his first run as an endorsed Democrat. He thanks his mom and dad, the Democratic party, the more than 400 people who gave him money and the groups that endorsed him.

From the email:

"I will, of course, appreciate any additional advice, feedback and support that you may offer along the way. My website remains up and our donate button remains functional. : )
Again, thank you all for your generosity and support. With your help, we will have a victory in '09!"

Garry ran a very good campaign- got some significant endorsements, did several mail pieces, and was out in the community a lot. He has come a long way in the last few years and got a respectable number of votes. Glad he'll be back in 09.

The voters have spoken: horse punching is not a platform.

Ol 'Crazy-Eyes' Garry has *zero* chance of winning in future Cincinnati elections. He's way too liberal for this town.

Go peddle your snake oil out in Sanfranfreako or Seattle, Garry. Nobody's buying it around here!

Oh, please not again! Please NO!

yeah,I have faith that Cincinnati would never elect him... does not seem especially rational.

here's some advice...don't waste anymore of our time or your time by running again.

Gary will be back...so will Justin "The People Said No Two Me Twice Now" Jeffre. The former c-list celebrity's blog, "The Beacon" is filled with sour grapes over Jeffre's lost, blaming everyone for his loss from alleged BOE flaws to the stupidity of the people of Cincinnati to outright fraud. Jeffre is immature, silly and thin-skinned; the Beacon is now removing all comments critical of Boyband & the cape wearing Jason Haap. They are pathetic.

Not only too liberal, it's more like too strange.

Um, Garry finished in 18th place. He was the weakest of all endorsed candidates. And much of his campaign was funded by a single individual who lived in Lexington, KY, and funneled money through different channels.

Garry ended up betraying many Dems on Issue 27, not because he came out against it, but the manner in which he did so. I can assure you that Portune, Pepper, and many incumbent Council members will remember Garry's speeches towards the end of the campaign saying Issue 27 proponents "wanted to lock up more black people!" This came after folks like Portune gave him $1000.

He will NEVER get the Dem endorsement again. He barely got it the first time. He claimed he matured, but by the end of the campaign, he reverted to the horse-punching, pro-boycott punk of old.

Translation: Too many people saw me instigating a riot at city hall a few years ago. I can't get a real job anywhere!

Brian Crum Garry will never be able to shake those ghosts off. Never. He needs to find gainful employment & move on.

And Justin Jeffre & his new boy band have gas & indigestion seeing he lost again & lost big. He'll probably try again despite the fact that the voters told him NO twice. He's another one who is thick & gormless. He can't get past the fact that no one thinks he's 98 degrees hot.

This boy band 98 degrees thing - how many big hits did they have? What radio channels here played that stuff? I guess I was listening to something else during the time Jeffre thought he was hot.

Garry: No way in hell does the Democratic Party endorse you again. You double-crossed too many Dem office holders, and they will ensure your efforts to get re-ensorsed are blocked.

Clean-up your signs on the West Side of town, Mr. Garry!

Seems like a capable thinker to me. Those who disagree seem to be way smug.

"Those who disagree seem to be way smug."

Or we just know his politics too well.

Go away, Garry.

Just. Go. Away.

Is his bane the fact that he opposes the status quo Cincinnati way? Not being from Cincinnati maybe helps me to see this clearly enough to be embarrassed by your smug diatribes!

Show me one program which has every income bracket in mind. Not just those sidling around in the "want" demographic. I'm not referring to the poor here. Heck I'd be satisfied just to have the next Flying Pig race routed through South Fairmont. At least then the runners would understand there are people who share their perpetual pain with the runners' temporary pain.
