Where are these endorsement lists?

Some of the groups issuing endorsements have been slow to release their lists. But they're telling their endorsees.

For example, the Cincinnati Police union, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 69, told at least Jeff Berding, Chris Bortz and John Eby that they get their nod. You might have guessed Berding from the big Berding sign in the union office's front yard on Central Parkway.

The Cincinnati African-American Firefighters Association (CAFA) has told at least Greg Harris and Brian Garry that they get their vote.

The Cincinnati firefighters union, International Association of Firefighters Local 48, said they're waiting until closer to the election to release their list. Berding expects to be on that list, too. If the signs in the union office yard are any indication, these incumbents must be endorsed: Berding; Laketa Cole; Leslie Ghiz; Chris Bortz; David Crowley; Chris Monzel; and Cecil Thomas. Charlie Winburn also has a sign there.

Go here to see who the new Cincinnati Young Professionals PAC likes. Sean Parker writes that Winburn alarmed them because he agreed with everything they asked. Members of the group have until Friday to vote on a final list.

The FOP endorsement. Keith Fangman's Seal of Approval. Yet another reason not to vote for Berding.

Winburn campaign strategy: Tell everyone exactly what they want to hear, even if it might contradict something he said the day before.

When you get them, please post the FOP & Firefighters endorsements. The old timers in my family generally vote their tickets.

I'm shocked that the CAFA endorsed Brian Crum Garry. I really am. He won't end up on the FOP slate, after punching the police horse several years ago!

Keep an eye on Greg Harris, everyone. He is going to surprise some people.

I don't understand why you say Greg Harris will "surprise" people. He's always been a viable candidate with a good shot of winning. It shouldn't come as any "surprise" if he wins.

The bigger surprise is that two and quite possibly three incumbents will likely lose.

Good point on Jeffre. His teenage fan base are all in their early 20's now. Why isn't the YP crowd giddy about him?

The kiddies seem to get their panties all twisted assuming it matters !

The true voters have been around long enough to discount the 'fishwRap' and the rhetoric !

By the way, Anoy 8:24 PM, September 18, 2007, it is because individuals stand for 'free speech' that permits your ignorance, be heard !

GARRY is going to make an excellant member of council, and so is HARRIS and JEFFRE !

Winburn's was the first sign in front of the Firefighters' Union.

Fangman's no longer an officer with the FOP.

Garry was aquitted of the charge regarding the horse.

Is Berding violating zoning laws by having 3-4 signs plastered on the outside of his campaign headquarters down the street from Price Hill Chili?

Robocall from Winburn the other night. Asked me to press "1" if I supported his candidacy, press "2" if I did not support his candidacy.
I hung up.

got an actual pollster calling from Utah the other night with many positively worded questions about Cranley.

The pollster mispronounced "referendum" and "initiative" and failed to recite a "paid for by" disclaimer; he said he didn't have one as part of his script.

Cranley's phoning in this campaign.

Anon 12:39, Cranley is phoning in this campaign because this is the third consecutive year he is running a campaign. In fact, 2002 and 2004 are hte only years this decade in which he has NOT run for public office. He has sky-high name ID and, as a Democrat, he certainly has the wind at his back this year.

Prediction: all Dems except Berding win. Non-dem is Bates. Council will be totally Repug-free.

Prediction: Cranley's new yard signs are eerily (sp?) reminiscent of those used in the county by township/ other burg candidates.

Cranley runs for HamCo Commish next year agin' DeWine.

You read it here first!
