from the article on Ken and Rosa'a son:

"Though he was "fully aware of this disclosure requirement ... " Trafford argued, Blackwell "... failed to disclose two legal proceedings when he submitted his application on March 30, 2005.

"He failed to disclose that he had been a defendant in an action brought against him by the University of Denver to collect unpaid tuition. He also failed to disclose that on the very day his application was being mailed to the court he was in jail in Colorado and charged with four traffic violations."

According to testimony, a criminal complaint was served on Blackwell on March 22, 2005, making the arrest a reportable incident. The arrest was based on the violation of four Colorado traffic laws: driving without a valid driver's license, operating an uninsured vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle and driving with an expired temporary permit.

Testimony revealed Blackwell had been cited at least twice before in October 2004 for driving without proof of insurance."

SOUNDS LIKE A MAN OF HIGH MORAL CHARACTER LIKE HIS FATHER.

Why was this story not displayed in the Local Section of The Cincinnati Enquirer? If it was in the paper, I missed it. Anyway, this just goes to show that Cincinnati's "sacred cows" exist, both Democrat and Republican. While I have been convinced of this free pass system for prominent families, this feeling was reenforced when Ken Blackwell, a man of questionable character and a hypocrit, ran for governor.

Come on, Enquirer staff, quit being so damn polite and report the news!

The spawn of Ken and Rosa Blackwell is a failure? How is that news? Given his parents, I'd call it a given.

Can we have a political discussion without the personal attacks? It doesn't seem possible anymore. Of the five previous comments, three are personal attacks on Blackwell, one on Al Gore, and I don't have a clue what the bold writer is talking about other than it is pro-democrat. Can we talk about the issues? Like why the courts are used every time a person doesn't like the outcome of some action? Does the state have the right to make the rules for the bar exam process? What is a fair allowance for someone with a handicap? What is a handicap and what is lack of ability or character?

Of course to answer any of these questions you would have to take the time to stop and think, offer a rational discussion rather than react with emotional venom.

Anon 8:50, nice try, you right-wing freak. Don't like personal attacks? Go blame your heroes Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Coulter, Hannity, Savage, etc. They took rational discourse out of democracy 15-20 years ago. Remember Lee Atwater, former Bush 41 cmapaign manager who was rewarded for racist campaign with the RNC chairmanship? Remember Roger Ailes, the Bush crony who decided that the corporate media of NBC (owned by GE), ABC (owned by Disney), and CBS (owned by Viacom) weren't right-wing enough, so he started his own network, Faux News?

How's Faux News done for "civility?"

Oh, you're just noticing now? Maybe your whiny pleas for civility have to do with the fact that YOUR SIDE GOT MASSIVELY DEFEATED last year.

The American people finally saw through the empty pious Holier-Than-Thou rhetoric of right-wing nutjobs like Ken Blackwell and the rest of the Gang of Pedophiles.

Your side is out of power, which means you might actually start having to pay taxes to support public roads, public schools, and all those "Big Government" things you right-wingers love to use and hate to pay for.

Cry me a river.

Here's a surprise:

The Enquirer missed this story. It was in the Dayton paper over the weekend.

They also, of course, missed Chesley's story as reported in The Wall Street Journal and The Post. Sounds like Chesley is pulling strings to keep himself out of an indictment. But we will never know.

Maybe they can give us more on Mallory's trip to the Ukraine!
