Ruby loves Rudy

O.J. Simpson may not be welcome at restauranteur Jeff Ruby's establishments, but the door is always open for Rudy Giuliani, Ruby's favorite presidential candidate.

Ruby's downtown steakhouse will be the venue for a luncheon fundraiser for the apparent GOP frontrunner on Friday, Aug. 3 - an event that takes place before Giuliani is expected to head out to Timberwolf for the Sean Hannity Cincinnati Freedom Concert, which features country singer LeAnn Rimes and one-hit wonder Lee Greenwood.

Those who would like lunch with Rudy have three options - shell out $2,300 (the maximum allowed per cycle) for a private roudtable luncheon and photo op with Giuliani, $1,000 for a private reception and photo op; and $250 for a general reception with a Rudy stump speech.

I would rather eat at a soup kitchen then at one of Jeff's places. I find that he is a very self serving person!

gee, there's a whole bunch of 9/11 emergency responders that would enjoy having lunch with the great pretender.

why not extend them a free invite since the 08 ticket is going to be reagan-thompson (yes, even a dead person could win with the current set of candidates)

Just so you know Montgomery-Gentry is the featured act at Hannity's Freedom concert. The concert is done to raise funds for children of veterans. He does about 5 or 6 of these a year.

the concert is on august 9th, not august 3rd.

If you are a Democrat but an Iraq veteran, are you welcome at these concerts?

Ruby won't serve criminal OJ - does serve criminal Ernest Fletcher - it is the hypocrisy, stupid.

Have you ever noticed how Jeff Ruby loves the spotlight? A truly GREAT restaurantuer with with an ego that must be larger than a football field!

Thanks for the info. A good reason to avoid Ruby's restaurants. There are many other ways to contribute to worthy charities. Have no interest in Rimes, Greenwood and especially Hannity, the walking epitome of "shameless blowhard".

Unfortunately, as much as I would like to confront Rudy regarding his "9/11 Heroism" (gag), I don't have that kind of money to waste.

So Rudy if you are reading this please answer the following questions for me:

1.) Please explain the 'no-bid contract' that was given to Motorola for the firefighters radios that were known to be defective since 1993 and led to the deaths of hundreds of NYFD firefighters (total of 343 died) on 9/11/01.

2.) Rudy, how did you know that the twin towers were going to collapse of 9/11 (re: your interview with ABC's Peter Jennings) when no steel structure high rise building had ever collapsed from fire before 9/11 or after 9/11?

3.) Why did you build your Mayor's Emergency Operations Center in WTC Building #7 on the 23 rd floor when the entire government knew that the World Trade Center Buildings were the greatest target for a terrorist attack?

$.) What do you think of the scientific research of physicist Steven E. Jones who has tested various samples of the rubble at ground zero and found traces of the military incendiary explosive Thermite in all of the tested samples. How did explosives get into WTC buildings 1, 2 and 7?

This is really all about Jeff Ruby and nothing else!!! Jeff loves the spotlight. Such a sleazy dude!!

Such ignorant cowards. For you to impose your opinions of Mr. Ruby and his actions without knowing truths makes you no better than any other crooked politician out there - Republican or Democrat. You "anonymous" people, why not be proud of what it is that you say. Let us know who you are - why should we consider an opinion from someone named anonymous?

I've always found Mr Ruby to be up front and honest in his personal and his business life. So what if he takes advantage of the spot-light. That's smart business !! His restaurants are packed every night and serves the best steaks I've ever tasted. He has done more for the city of Cincinnati than mayor Mallory has with his pathetic display on opening day ! Mr Ruby stands up for what he believes in and isn't afraid to say it !!
