Dann to reporter: "Go (expletive) yourself"

The Associated Press reports:

BOARDMAN, Ohio – Ohio’s chief law enforcer was caught on tape cursing a reporter outside a fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama because of an article about a woman Dann raised as his daughter landing a state job.

Attorney General Marc Dann, a Youngstown Democrat, was headed into the fundraiser Wednesday when he spotted Warren Tribune Chronicle reporter Steve Oravecz and shouted, “Hey Steve, write this down: Go (expletive) yourself!”

Dann and Oravecz declined to comment on Friday.

Television station WYTV caught the swearing on camera and posted it online.

Oravecz wrote an article the day before with the headline “Locals with ties to Dann get jobs,” that reported a woman Dann helped raise, 22-year-old Mavilya Chubarova, got a $37,000-a-year job with Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner.

Brunner, a fellow Democrat, hired Chubarova the day she took office and later promoted her to the new position of constituent coordinator, the report said. “She’s great,” Brunner said. “I liked Mia’s enthusiasm and her creativity.”

Dann’s office offered Brunner’s older daughter a job as well, but she ultimately turned it down, Brunner said.

the right wing media cartel in this state needs to lay off Marc Dann's family. They are also going after Ted Strickland and the wife of the Columbus mayor with a venegance, too. Your extremist Bible thumping buddies lost. Get over it. The people are finally getting some say in our government. Thisis how democracy is supposed to work.

Democracy is suppose to work by getting your friends and relatives jobs??? No not really the way it is suppose to work. If Taft or someone in his administration had done the same thing Dann did you would be crying foul.

Bold guy once again crys about people that the article is not about. You can't stay on point. This is about someone close to Dann getting a job and then Dann telling someone to F themself. Real class, glad you will defend that. Oh but I forgot you will even wish cancer on someone you don't like or agree with. You have shown us that you have no class. You are a really big person wishing cancer on someone!!

Bold endeavors once again draws the wRong wingnut whackos, from the woodwork, as they are blinded by the 'culture of corruption' cronies while goose-steping 'cheney' shoot the messenger's policies !

Thanks 'follower', for revealing your "BOLD LEADER" !

"...You are a really big person wishing cancer on someone!!..."

Typical wRong wingnut whacko slinging the elephant dung propaganda, PERIOD !

Statisically, those who chain smoke have a higher probability of contracting lung cancer. This is clear to anyone who isn't a 'bonner' !

We won't deny we hope your a smoker !, lol, lol, lol Could we buy a pack of 'Lucky Strikes" ?

My guess is that bold type guy is a leader in the Democrat Party. Probably a single, middle-aged fat guy. He's just lonely and wants attention. Anyway, yeah this goes to show that the Dems failed w/ their promise to "clean up" government. They have done the same thing in DC w/ the earmark scandals.

Wait a minute:

Doesn't the wRong wingnut whacko misleaders continue to appoint brothers to the county court ?

WINK, WINK !

To Bold type guy. No not a smoker but thanks far saying that you would like me to get cancer too. Lets see, I pointed out that you wished someone would get Cancer and then say that I am "slinging elephant dung" First that is only the 10,000th time you have used that lame statement. Think maybe you could come up with something new. Oh wait you also used "culture of corruption" AGAIN!! Very old and boring.
Your tired old statements prove how lame you are. Your wishes of Cancer on others proves how little of human being you truly are.

I love reading comments from the Democrat wackos here who believe their people bear no responsibility for their actions. Reverend Strickland has been trying to cover up massive data loss, Lee Fisher hires a crony who doesn't even show up for work, and Marc Dann tells a reporter to F off, and the Democrats response is to blame Republicans. You Democrats said you wanted the responsibility of running our government, you got it, now take some responsibility for your foul ups.

BFD (Bold Face Dude/Dudette),

You need a lesson in basic civics. The Governor appoints judges to county courts when vacancies occur. Right now, that means your buddy Strickland is doing that between speaking to terror groups and bungling data-security procedures.

In Lucas County, he appointed the wife of a sitting judge to the same court. In Stark County, he just appointed a former head of the Legal Aid Society. Oh, yeah, he promised to take politics out of judicial selections, then appointed a bunch of his political supporters to screen the applicants.

Do you all read what I read from the BOLD TYPE!!

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah All of it having nothing to do with the article that this post is about.

Hey I may not agree with everyone but I enjoy reading other comments on the articles. I may not agree but at least many of them have a point.

BOLD FACE All I read is blah, blah, blah

Thank you to those that actually comment on the articles and say something new every now and then.

I agree with above. The democrats are just as incompetent, e.g. Earmarks, lost personal info, etc.

Telling someone to F off is in poor taste no matter who says it - i don't know why I just love to hear the Dems getting the chance to shove this crap right back into the faces of these wimpy, corrupt Republicans.
Getting people jobs - political patronage - nothing new -- what do you think all the power struggle is really about? Jobs, good jobs, powerful jobs for family and friends. It is and always has been.
I for one, wasn't happy with the Republican patronage so why not support the Democratic patronage and see how it works out for the majority of us.
(The only big difference is that noone, particularly the Enquirer, ever reported the behavior whenit was the good ole boys doing it - if we implemented a true civil service programof evaluation of applicants like it used to be before the Republicans amended Ohio civil service law - we'd all have an equal chance for the jobs based on objective evaluation standards - too bad Republicans did away the system - NOW EAT ELEPHANT DUNG)

Give me a break. The Repugnicants told the people of Ohio to "Go * Yourself" for 16 years while they looted the public treasury for people like Tom Noe, the college dropout who landed on the Board of Regents.

They told the kids and teachers of Ohio to "Go * Yourselves" for 16 years when they refused to do anytihng to increase school funding while sending their own children to tony private schools.

They told Ohio seniors to "Go * Yourselves" when they refused to increase Medicaid reimbursements to nursing homes.

They told Ohio college students and adult learners to "Go * Yourselves" when they repeatedly slashed higher education funding.

They told Ohio libraries, and the people who use them to "Go * Yourselves" when they effectively stopped funding our public libraries.

They told Ohio drivers to "Go * Yourselves" when they increased gasoline taxes, as if we weren't paying enough already to George Bush's family, friends, and Carlyle Group buddies every time we fill up our tanks.

They told the sick and the poor to "Go * Yourselves" every time their budgets reduced prescription drug coverage, unemployment benefits, workers' compensation benefits, and Medicaid.

But they gave $50 MILLION for Tom Noe to play with and even more money than that for charter school plutocrats.

An awful lot of Ohioans have been repeatedly told by thier governments to "Go * Yourselves" over the past 16 years.

It's about time someone said that to a reporter. You news media types were asleep for the past 16 years while Ohioans were evicted from their homes, turned away by social service agencies, denied medical care, kicked out of nursing homes, inadequately educated, and overtaxed to boot.

right. it got there starting in 1994 with years of republic corruption, malefeasance, and bullpucky.

can't wait till 08 when we run the rest of the conservative pukes out.

i've had enough. vote democratic.

I have a hard time seeing how. We are all over taxed and at that same time all of the things listed above(medical coverage, libraries, students, teachers, etc) are underfunded. Some of you don't understand that the money just does not come from no where.

The state only has so much money. Now you can bitch about paying extra for a gas tax, property taxes, income taxes all you want. But at the same time bitch about all social programs not getting enough money. Your arguement just does not add up. But then again you are not trying to help fix a problem you just want to lay the ills of the world on the republicans.

More money for governement to spend or lower taxes you can't have it both ways.

Thank God the GOP screwed up b/c that's the only way the Libs can win! They sure couldn't win on their on w/ out us. Youre welcome for your job Mr. Dann. Its obvious now that the people didn't choose them b/c they are better managers!

"the bold-faced typist is Tim Burke, leader of the democrat party...."

Rumor has it, there is extensive documentation regarding comments that are posted and those denied posting ? Litigation forthcoming regarding a libel suit ? Something about political bias and knowingly posting comments, so far fetched, that any reasonable individual can conclude them to be false. The documentation supposedly goes back 18 months and is being compiled for federal district filing. The pattern very revealing ? Seems everyone will be surprised that some postings are from an organization of tech savvy individuals posting via a proxy while possessing very identifiable IP addresses of all submitters and posters ? Seems the same organization has been targeting various conservative publications throughout the nation ? The big sting ?

This article just proves that these procedures were started by Bob Taft. Blame him, you right-wing Jesus Freaks!

http://www.daytondailynews.com/o/content/oh/story/opinions/editorial/2007/06/24/ddn062407ohiodata2xxer.html

And even the Columbus Dispatch, a right-wing rag that makes the Enquirer look balanced, has praised the way Governor Strickland handled the data situation. Even a Repugnicant former state senator says Governor Strickland did nothing wrong. Get over it,. Your boy Blackwell lost. Your boy DeWine lost. Your gal Betty "Firnd of Noe" Montgomery lost. The people of Ohio woke up to the royally incompetent job you people did ruining this state. They don't want you or any of your professionally incompetent but criminally skilled right-wing, gay-hating, woman-hating, minority-hating, crony-rewarding fat asses anywhere near power or decision-making in our great state ever again.

Please, do us all a favor and move to Idaho and Wyoming where you can hate all the non-Fallwell-worshipping Fundalmentalist Jesus Freaks. You people totally f-ed up our state. Go f-up another state!

You nutjobs need to find a hobby instead of hating Governor Strickland and Attorney General Dann. They are cleaning up the mess the Repugnicants made of Ohio.

Hey I think people just learned to hate the way you hate/hated Bush, Taft, et all. Please just because people post things that are against Strickland don't tell them to f off.
You are the worst kind, jump all over the republicans but can't take it when a dem. gets some heated words.
By the way many, many independent studies have shown that a majority of the newspapers in the country lean well to the left. Sorry if a story you don't like is in a paper. I guess it means the paper is right wing.

Anon 3:17, hey, I could post whatever Rush Limbuagh says just as easily as you could. But, unlike youn I see through his spin.

yeah, reporters are libs. You would be too if you saw the consequences of budget cuts inspirsed by Repug tax cuts and sweetheartdeals like the cool 50 mil Tom Noe got.

at 10:39 AM, June 26, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

8:59 Not really sure where Rush Limbaugh fits in here. I actually don't like him at all. But here once again is the problem. You did not like what I had to say so you throw out "Rush Limbaugh" to spin a point. Nothing I said had anything to do with him. You admit most reporters are libs. But then you get pissed and tell someone to f-off after a story is against a Dem. And then you throw out Tom Noe(really keep going to the well on that one!!).
You don't like tax cuts. Ok we can discuss but government spending is at an all-time record. Greatly out pacing inflation. And that includes social programs(not just iraqi). What is the answer more money and more money?? We are spending at record levels.
Spin?? You did a good job by turning a point that had nothing to do with him and bringing in Rush. And then spinning in tax cuts. Story was about some bad press for a dem and you were the one that went in to high speed spin cycle.

Hey, Mr. "Rght-Wing Media": The Warren newspaper which employs the writer at which Dann swore has apparently suspended said writer. No surprise, this same newspaper endorsed Dann and every single other Democrat running statewide last year.

So, when a reporter writes something a Democrat pol doesn't like, the papers suspends the reporter! Where are all the liberals clamoring for freedom of speech and the first amendment now????? Hmmmm????

at 6:38 AM, June 27, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

I guess that's one reporter who's not going to get the exclusive interview with Dann.

Then again, Dann has done a bunch of crazy things do far. At least he keeps it interesting if he can't keep it respectable.

"...Where are all the liberals clamoring for freedom of speech and the first amendment now????? Hmmmm????..."

So, where were you when 'rove' and the state street boys only chose lobbyists who employ wRong wingnut whackos ?

Where you when federal attorney's were fired due to exposing the wRong wingnut whacko 'culture of corruption' ?

If you were such a advocate of 'free speech' then the alleged Dann comments are 'moot' !

PATHETIC HYPOCRITE !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2007 !

at 12:23 PM, June 27, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Bold print person. Once again you use the words "Pathetic Hypocrite"

However you only bring up things you don't like about republicans. When there is a story about a dem. doing something wrong you bring up rep., "culture of Corruption", etc.(all the same things we have heard from you time after time)

Should the reporter who wrote the story on Dann have "freedom of speech"?? You won't even answer that because you are the HYPOCRITE!!!!
