Bortz's favorite movies and music

In case you missed it in Sunday's Life section, Chris Bortz's favorite CD is David Gray's "White Ladder" - because it "reminds me of my beautiful wife."

And while he has many favorite movies, including Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Amistad, Groundhog Day and Caddyshack, he says Braveheart is his favorite. Why? "Maybe because of the themes: personal integrity, freedom at all costs, cool fight scenes and great cinematography."

He's 33 and lives in Mount Adams.

And the point of this post is ....

No really, jane, why didn't you tell us his favorite color (off-white) or his favorite ice cream flavor (vanilla), so we could complete our mash books (that takes some of us back).

Was it really that slow of a news day or are you really trying to prove that you are the worst reporter this side of MEP?

This is stupid, but I think Chris Bortz is the only guy down here who might be mayoral material.

He is smart and can make a decision. Not afraid...like you know who! Not slow...like you know who!
Bortz for Mayor.

Gee I bet Bortz's favorite song is "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot" in honor of his daddy's company.

Actually his favorite song is a bootleg copy of "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt with a 15 minute sax solo by Kenny G. But talking about it causes his eye to roll back into his head because he is so overcome with lameness. It causes him to think about himself.

*note to Councilman Bortz - ya'know this is meant as a joke - you sometimes take this blogging stuff seriously. Don't. We take cheap shots at you because you won't admit that your favorite movie really is "Pulp Fiction" and your favorite song is "Invisible Man" (I have never been a 98degree fan-to each his own) so just ignore it. It will go away in a couple more comments.

While everyone is on the subject you can go to www.JohnEby.com and click on the facebook or myspace links to find out what John Eby's favorites are. By the way, John Eby has a lot better taste in music than Bortz.

reading this blurb and the subsequent comments are two minutes of my life I will never be able to reclaim. I will take it out on ortz by not voting for him.

Excuse me, maybe this questions is a little out of line but...

"Just why in the world was this bull-manure written in the first place?"

Did the Enquirer lose a bet with Bortz or something?

As for his favorite song, it would seem that Toby Keith's "I Wanna Talk About Me" would be fitting, given Mr. Bortz's slightly high opinion of himself.

As for him being a good candidate for Mayor, please! Cincinnati has been embarrassed enough these last several years.

.

We thought his favorite movie was "Trophy Wife" and it seems to me that his favorite song was James Gang's:

You just turn your pretty head and, "WALK AWAY" !

PATHETIC PANDERING !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2007 !

Are you jealous that he has a good looking wife. My guess is you are all by yourself bitter at home.
We read your bitterness everyday. You can't get anything on your own so you need all the help you can get.
