Dann for Berding

Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann's in town tonight to talk about a couple of things - predatory lending, foreclosures and how his office might help Cincinnati with some anti-crime efforts.

Oh, and to talk about getting Councilman Jeff Berding re-elected.

If you want to hear him and chip in, hit the Bankers Club downtown at 5:30 p.m.

Since when do prominent elected state officials campaign on behalf of city council candidates? First Berding uses Lt. Gov. Fisher, now this. If these officials are helping him they should help all the Dem city councilmembers running for reelection. If they knew how Berding has undermined and attacked his Dem council colleagues I wonder if they'd still be helping him raise money. Oh wait, I forgot- now that Portune is praising his former nemesis to the skies, he's probably recruiting these officials- then he gets to be a host, introduce the speaker, and get some attention for himself.

This lowers my regard for Mark Dann. Didn't he eke out election when other state Dems were gliding to victory?
