Voter lists need some updating

About a dozen teenagers are among the campaign workers staffing the phones at Jean Schmidt's campaign headquarters in Batavia. For some, it's been an interesting -- and sometimes strange -- introduction to politics.

Several have found their "likely voter" lists a little out of date. When 15-year-old Gretchen Costello asked to speak with one such voter, she found it was impossible.

"She's been dead since 1969," said the person who answered the phone.
