At the Chabot party

Cliff Radel reports:

Joseph and David Hoffman played "Battleship" while their mom and dad, Mark and Virginia, put up " Chabot For Congress" signs Tuesday night at Champ's Sports Bar at the downtown Regency Hotel.

The Cleves family was preparing for Congressman Steve Chabot's election-night party.

"Steve always holds his parties here," said Mark Hoffman, a Chabot campaign volunteer. Virginia said, "Joseph (11) has been around for every one of Steve's campaigns."

Mark Hoffman had a stack of Chabot signs. But he was not going to put them all up. "We're going to save the rest of these for the next election in 2008."
