Alan Laufer moved to Milford from the Bronx four months ago. One of his first stops in his new town was GOP headquarters. For Laufer, politics is part ideology and part social networking.
Alan Laufer moved to Milford from the Bronx four months ago. One of his first stops in his new town was GOP headquarters. For Laufer, politics is part ideology and part social networking.
"It's a good way to meet people," Laufer said.
Laufer worked the phones for the get-out-the-vote campaign Tuesday, asking strangers in his thick New York accent to go to the polls and vote Republican. Most of the people he called were polite, he said, but he can handle the ones who aren't.
"I've always had debates with my family," he said. "They're all Democrats."
