Boehner Statement on Plea Agreement with Rep. Bob Ney
WASHINGTON, D.C. - House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement after Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH) reached a plea agreement with the Justice Department and pled guilty to two counts of violating federal law:
"I have always known Bob as a skilled legislator and a good friend. Clearly Bob made mistakes, and he is now feeling the full weight of those mistakes. His actions violated the law, and he must be held accountable.
"I support him for recognizing that he needs help with his problem with alcohol, and for seeking it. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family."

"that's how our relationship with Jim Raussen originated. It's no different than our relationship with some other State Reps in the area. You may know now, like a Jean Schmidt..."
You can't tell me that Boner, Bennett and Booby Ney's other buddies haven't known about his drinking, gambling and other problems for years. He used to party at concerts and racetracks with Blue Cross and managed care lobbyists and state legislators in the 1990s when he was regularly dodging state and federal corruption probes. Remember Ney and his aides regularly denying everything that is now clearly substantiated in today's plea agreement, blaming the media and everyone else for the smear campaign? If this guy doesn't get serious jail time, then we know the fix is in.
It is a good thing that crook "Ney" doesn't live in hamilton county. You see, he would get No sympathy as our misleading, wRong wingnut whacko, Phil hindlick is:
"Not a root cause, kinda guy " !
HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2006 !
