George Vincent can't get enough of this

Some Hamilton County Republican Party chairmen of the past 30 years or so couldn't get away from the job fast enough, but George Vincent, the lawyer from Dinsmore & Shohl who took over the party chairmanship last summer, is coming back for more.

Vincent was re-elected party chairman Wednesday at a party central committee meeting Wednesday at the Montgomery Inn Banquet Center, and is re-upping at a time when the heat is on the Hamilton County Republican Party leadership.

This year, the GOP in Hamilton County faces the possibility of losing control of the Hamilton County Board of Commisioners for the first time since John F. Kennedy was president and Vincent was about six years old. Commissioner Phil Heimlich faces a well-funded and experienced Democrat in David Pepper.

But, while Heimlich-Pepper is a big ticket item, even bigger is the weight the Ohio Republican Party will no doubt dump on Vincent and the party apparatus to turn out GOP voters for the home-town candidate for governor, Ken Blackwell.

Vincent said that the third part of the trinity will be re-electing U.S. Rep. Steve Chabot, who is going to have his hands full fending off Democrat John Cranley in a year when the Republican-controlled Congress is only slightly more popular than the Republican president.

While Heimlich, Chabot and Blackwell are the glamor boys, Vincent says the party is equally determined to re-elect Judge Patrick Dinkelacker to the 1st District Court of Appeals. Dinkelacker's opponent, James T. O'Reilly, is expected to run an agressive campaign and have a fair amount of money behind him.

Despite all the problematic races, Vincent said he is glad he signed on for another term.

"I said I'd stay as long as I am effective and I am having fun doing it,'' Vincent said. "And I'm still having fun.''

Vincent is a decent guy. He must hate having to defend Phil, especially after Phil screwed him so badly on the Public Defender issues.

Chabot will have his hands full fending off (and trying to change)the truth of his record... broken promises on balanced budgets and term limits, getting nothing done for his constituents, giving 14.5 billion dollars of taxpayer dollars to record profit energy companies, voting to gag nonprofit groups from registering folks to vote, making prescription drugs more expensive for seniors, pushing for the Iraqi war, and all his buddy-buddy stuff with Jack Abramoff and Tom DeLay.

I'm not familiar with this history. Please elaborate.

With elected RINOs like Leslie Ghiz on his team no wonder George has a sealed envelope with the instructions "turn off the lights as you head out" written on them.

Old georgy boy may not feel so gratified once that libel suit is served on him, mad brad and every member on the central committee...

The fishwrap won't feel so gratified as a defendant for rubberstamping their defaming remarks and interjecting their partisan libelous comments as well !

Did anyone ask the w(R)ong wing nut how he and his law firm feel after learning about the bill of rights and free speech in Winkler's rented room ?

They couldn't even get a favorable ruling by nominating brother winkler to common pleas !

Did anyone ask him how he intends to defend those unlawful, deceiving and misleading judicial advertisements he paid for that the fishwrap published and concealed their deceiving ways although the fishwrap and KKKorte attempted to ding Mallory with the supreme court ruling that the w(R)ong wing nuts violated ?

Rumor has it a complaint is being filed with the Ohio Elections commission ?

Since he is an attorney the supreme court may question him about the code of professional responsibility ?

Are all the good-looking ones Republicans?

Let's see a picture of Tim Burke for comparison.

What the HECK is wrong with my Democrat Senators? Don't they give a darn about my personal security?

The Senate just confirmed Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden as CIA chief on a 78-15 vote!!!

Story

These Liberals will do anything to get elected, including selling out our privacy to the US Military ad Halliburton.

They have no problem at all confirming someone who ran the NSA phone surveillance program!!!

They are both married, were is your so called w(R)ong wing nut family value ?

You perhaps should visit the porn sites instead of the political sites !

You'll never score with any of those guys either, you "closet rear log-cabin w(R)ong wing nut"!

To Anonymous 10:23am

So OK, if Tim Burke is taken, who else might you suggest (Democrat preferred)?

In reviewing the City Council member profiles, I noticed that a few of them aren't married, including young Mr Cranley, Mark Mallory - the Mayor (although he does seem to have a permanent 'steady' bodyguard), and um, Leslie E. Ghis...

Mr Cranley is running for Congress and how is he going to do any proper photo shoots without that little band of gold?

His bio mentions his ultra-religious background: a Jesuit College (John Carroll Univ), Harvard Theological, Harvard Law......sounds like A-1 material to me.

So what's the story here? You certainly can't depend on the Enquirer for any real gossip.

I heard he was short, but that doesn't bother me. Does he like to go to the movies? What did he think of "The DaVinci Code?"

Cranley is particular in all the decisions he makes. That is why he will make us a great congressman.

He may be single because he has not met his spiritual match.

You better be a GAL with a great carreer and strong family background and then if he sparks you, approach him.

He is very accessible. He belives in close contact with the voter !

Oh by the way, you know what they say about short guys !

I hear that guy with that free speech website that beat the w(R)ong wing nuts in court is a hunk ?

But, he is just an activist, I guess ?

George Vincent's first act as the newly re-elected chairman should be to remove Leslie Ghiz from the Hamilton County Republican Party. She has one foot out already. She is not a Republican and has no value system of any kind.

Chabot was an Impeachment Manager who was obsessed about Clinton telling a lie.

Now Chabot gives a pass to INDICTED Tom DeLay who along with GUILTY Tony Rudy and Mike Scanlon ran the impeachment war room. GUILTY & INDICTED DeLay, Rudy and Scanlon have raised Chabot hunreds of thousands of dollars for his campaign.

Chabot also got money from INDICTED David Safavian and GUILTY Neil Volz.

Chabot also got in on the Abramoff Indian tribe schemes.

When will Chabot walk the walk and not just talk the talk?

All of you pansies posting as "Anonymous" have no idea about the depths of Chabot's character, integrity, and power. Watch yourselves in November. If Cranley thinks that this will be his show, just wait.

Money does not equal payoff. What on earth do you think Chabot took a campaign contribution for? A floor statement? Legislation? Come on, get real and get out of your "conspiracy-theory bunkers."

Chabot has gotten nothing done.

Anonymous 4:49 said about Cranley:
"He is very accessible. He believes in close contact with the voter !"

I hear he has been accessible and in close contact with Leslie Ghiz! I also hear SHE is now may be in close contact with David Pepper.

Sounds like a mole in the Republican Party to me. I say it is time to play "WHACK A MOLE" and get her out of the party.

Chabot will do whatever it takes to hold onto his power. "willie fisthimself" is absolutely right.

The depths of Chabot's character go very dark. Mr. Combover has something underneath that is not pretty at all. Be prepared.

Chabot instructs all the dirty work from behind the scenes. And anyone who has ever crossed Chabot knows that. If you have ever backed Cranley and Chabot get ready for a message from Chabot -- if you haven't gotten yours already.

He will have his people call you up and twist your arm.

A couple million dollars can buy a lot of pushing around.

You liberals have no idea how tough Chabot and his peoples will get.

Chabot will show you all how to win elections.

chabot is smarter than he acts. chabot acts nice to your face, then sicks his dogs on you and pretends he's doesn't know anything about it.

jean schmidt found out that hard way when chabot cut a deal with the mcewen people. what a joke. chabot lied about schmidt lies.

who ever officially endorses both candidates in a party primary? answer: nobody.

there is good reason why the ethics group found that schmidt didn't lie about chabot -- BECAUSE CHABOT WAS TELLING THE LIE.

Cutting Clowncil salaries is an excellent idea. But, with only 2 Republicans on council it'll be mighty hard. Last year Monzel was barely able to muster the 6 votes needed to get the council pay freeze past the death grip of the demonocrats.

If this really is one of Ghiz' goals, she should stop spending precious political capital on helping homosexuals get special rights and bringing in slot machines.

Face it, w(R)ong wing nuts, like Giz, are all talk and no action !

If she were sincere about her campaign rhetoric she could donate that excessive salary, over her stated objective, to charity !

She's definitely (R) !

Assert and Claim to have the voter in mind, then line their own pocket !

How do you spell w(R)ong wing Nut ?

HYPOCRITE !

If they kick Ghiz out, who's left?

Malone -- out
Monzel -- the most useless Councilmember in the history of City Hall (seriously, what does that guy do?)

Ghiz is all they have. They will have zero City Republicans if they don't like the ones who actually can win elections on their own.

We also plan to make certain they have zero w(R)ong wing nuts in the county as well !

We may accept some Rino's like Giz ?

Maybe you should see where her daddy's political loyalty is ?

I know, Do you ?

We need more pro-choice progressive republicans like Ghiz on council.

She is not afraid to stand up to conservatives.

She calls it how she sees it and won't take a stand on any moral high ground.

Go Leslie!
