McEwen's wife launches Web site

Liz McEwen, the wife of Republican Bob McEwen, has a new Web site and blog - for the ladies.

McEwen, a former congressman from southern Ohio, is running against Rep. Jean Schmdit in the May 2 GOP primary election for the 2nd District.

Check it out his wife's site here.

And while you're at it... Check out the family photos, where you'll a family picture taken at the McEwen's Virginia home. See the Enquirer's story and photo of that same house that ran in last Sunday's paper here.

Also note that in one of the pictures, McEwen's daughter is wearing a Robinson track sweatshirt.

In the future, when Rob Portman moves back from Virginia to run for Senate I bet there will be outrage and disgust, not.

Liz McEwen didn't start this blog....some women in Warren and Hamilton Co started this group & then invited Liz to blog. Among the ladies who started this group are a professor at Xavier, a speaker for Christian women's groups, a computer genius & a small business owner. I attended two of their meetings and met some of the nicest Republican women from Clermont, Warren & Hamilton Co! All ages, young moms to retired grandmothers, from various walks of life, Catholic & Protestant--all united to elect a conservative who can restore the dignity we enjoyed with Rob Portman.

Why isn't Bob running in Virginia?

Is McEwen a total idiot. How do you have children in Virginia public schools supported by taxpayer dollars while you claim to live in various back bedrooms in Ohio? Liz has to be dumber than a box of rocks to post these pictures.

I looked at Bob McEwen's new site and it look's like Jim Parker's website.

Type - "Jim Parker for Congress" and see for yourself.

Bob is copying the one person who can actually win in November.

If you're losing, copy the person with the BEST ideas.

Smart man...

Thanks, Liz, for more evidence!

And in her blog, she brags about how her son has a new job with "an oil equipment manufacturing company."

She doesn't name the company, but it is in Houston.

Wonder what company it is?

Does ANYONE know what "oil equipment manufacturing companies" are headquartered in Houston? Anyone?

Portman is still in service to OUR COUNTRY--- not to some foreign country !!! Lobbyist Bob it seems will take $$$ from any country that is willing to pay him to represent their interest in OUR United States congress!!
Let him run for office in one of his other countries,, he probably has a drivers liscence from there too!!!

Ms. Rulon,

I can now see why you had such scathing articles on Mr. McEwen, both worked into the front page of the Local section in Sunday's Enquirer. If you are reporting facts as an unbiased journalist, and give equal Sunday space to list all possible violations of the law by Jean Schmidt, then fine. But it appears you have a strong bias against McEwen.

many in this district wish Jean would move to virginia and stay. it is amazing that the two township trustees that worked with jeaqn Schmidt for years, mary mackley Wolf and Ed Humphrey chose another over " experienced Jean." to serve the unexpired term of Joe Uecker. One question they asked of potential canidadates was how much money could they spend and where owuld they get it if Jean wanted a scorch and burn campaign against them. The minimum benchmark they requested was $40,000. That is for a $19,000 a year job as trustee.
Run Jean , RUNNNNNN!!!!! For the state line.

a 23 point lead for jean. that sounds about right to me. all of the "bobblyheads" must be posting on this blog. he has no support and no money. what happened to anthony munoz's endorsement on big bob's campaign site. word is that big anthony was "duped" by big bob. asked to be removed from his endorsement list. bob should be worried only about his pending legal troubles. he has consistently shown little regard for the law of this state. why not if you're not a resident. you can put a fork in this guy. he chose to align himself with the "old boys" from anderson township and it has come home to roost. running a "smear" campaing by proxy. nice try bob. pack it in and go home.

Smear campaign? The only smear campaign is by Schmidt. She hired liberal democrat attorney Stan Chesley and is also attacking McEwen's family now. She is stooping so low.

And since you brought up Portman and lobbying, Portman was also a lobbyist for foreign entities between the Bush administration and his seat in Congress. No one had a problem with that.

At least McEwen did not become the laughing stock of Ohio by having SNL make fun of him. Only dumb-Schmidt could do that. Win or lose, the fight to get rid of the tax and spend liar will never stop. She can expect a primary challenger each and every time until this dumb-Schmidt is gone.

You are all pansies for posting under "anonymous."

My how you love to throw mud with little or no facts. First how long was Bob a lobbyist. 2 years and those were years spent working to improve relations with countires that ended up helping us and are helping us even more now in the war on Terror. He also worked with a country in Africa and Ethiopia on trying to stop the slaughter of 100,000s of people. Lets see he was a lobbyist for 2 years which is the same amount Rob Portman was before he was our congressman. I love how the Schmidt people throw out the word "lobbyist" as if it is poison. Yea believe it or not Bob did good things. And oh my god he got Paid?? I am sure you all out there work for free. 2 years the same as Portman.

Ok next. Pictures of the Mcewen family are not new!!! His kids(a Marine, two in school and one working) are not together. So it is an older picture taken when his kids were younger. Lets see they were going to a school?? That is just amazing undercover work. Give me a break.

Hey why doesn't Jean talk about her stance on issues. She wont show up to anwser the voters questions. She won't debate in front of the voters and she will not even fill out questionairs about her views. She only has people like you on this blog pointing at a several year old picture and a sweatshirt that one of Bob's kids is wearing. Or she hires a Democratic Lawyer to throw mud at Bob and make claims that are not true and only to keep Jean from having to face the issues.
She lied about endorsements.

She embarrassed us on the floor of the house.

She has always voted to increase the taxes on Ohio's residents.

She say she is for the Death Penalty and then she says she is against it. Sound like Clinton.

She lies about degrees she has.

She has not accomplished anything in congress.

When Bob was there for 12 years we got new roads, bridges, and a water treatment plant in Clermont county. By the way before that water there was no building allowed because of the lack of water. Bob got that done as he did many other things. I have heard Bob talk about the things like the "Eastern Coridor" which he will work on to improve out lives. What do we hear from Jean. I don't want to talk I don't want to fill out that questionaire.

Jean has done nothing for us. The voters made a mistake last time. I have faith they will not make the same mistake.

Did anyone check out Bob's FEC filings and see how much money he raised from Virginia? Awfully coincidental.

You know it's funny that with all the hate between Bob and Jean, Liz (Bob's wife) seems to want to look like Jean! If she's so against the Congresswoman, then why is she wearing her hair in the EXACT style that Jean is KNOWN for! Come on! Is someone jealous?? haha

(See Liz's photos)

There is a difference between a lobbiest and an AMBASSADOR!!!

The double standards coming from the Schmidt campaign are unbelievable (wait, they are because they're the Schmidt campaign). If Rob Portman stays in Virginia for a few years and comes back to run for Senate I can picture GOPers now saying "our dear Rob Portman, life-long Ohio resident". That would be false because he hasn't always lived here (undergrad, law school, D.C. law firm, GHWBush white house, USTR), not that it really matters to me. What I am saying is that the Schmidt camp is grasping for straws. I believe they will be thoroughly surprised on May 3rd. And this point about working with foreign governments. Bob McEwen worked with them to make a positive difference (ie settlements over civil war). Bob McEwen can resolve differences among two countries and he will once again bring members of Congress together to get things done. For instance, the Congresswoman talks about how she grew up on a farm, thus is a staunch ethanol supporter. How in the world is she going to be taken seriously now on issues like energy? She may have conviction, as she says in her ads, and she may be determined, but just as GW is realizing now with Congress (Immigration, etc.), you must have credibility to get things done.

After all the crap Schmidt has put us through the past couple months, I would vote for someone who has been living on Mars for the past 30 years before I would vote for her!
