No cake walk for Dale Mallory

There are at least three Democrats in the 32nd Ohio House District who don't believe that Dale Mallory, brother of the mayor, should inherit the state legislative seat his family has held for 32 of the past 40 years.

They filed petitions Tuesday to run against him in the May 2 Democratic primary.

The best known of the three is Eve Bolton of Colllege Hill, the former Hamilton County recorder who ran an unsuccessful campaign for Cincinnati City Council last year.

Eric Wilson, another unsuccessful candidate for council, also filed, along with Yvette Barbara Baldwin, a first-time candidate from University Heights.

Dale Mallory, the West End Community Council filed his petitions earlier in the week. His brother, Mark Mallory, walked into the Hamilton County Board of Elections about 3:30 Thursday to file papers to run for Democratic state central committeeman from the 7th Ohio Senate District.

The mayor, who once held the Ohio House seat, said he was not suprised that the 32nd House District - a central city seat that is heavily Democratic - had drawn a crowd of Democratic candidates.

"It's a unique opportunity,'' the mayor said. "House seats don't open up often.''

It is an open seat because the incumbent Democrat, Catherine Barrett, is term-limited out and is challenging Eric Kearney for the 7th Ohio Senate District seat.

These three see that Dale's stupidity and lack of character outwiegh the Mallory name. Dale's name is mudd.

Dale Mallory is under impeachment with his own community council. How can you leave that out of any commentary on this race?

The good thing for Dale is that Eve Bolton may be a lovely person, but she is the most god awful campaigner I've ever seen. The other two are nonfactors. I see Mallory winning this race, if nothing else, because of his name.

Eve Bolton now has hundreds of ex-Mallory loyalists that are furious with the whole family for their sellout to CityLink. Dale made a fool of himself for the past 4 months with his clueless behavior. This CityLink thing has not yet died. As long as the Mallorys sandbag and lie by saying they are neutral, they lose credibility. Dale's crooked history will also hurt him.

The fact that you want to continue to attack the Mallorys does not change the reality of this election. I like Eve, but I wouldn't vote for her becasue she rubs me the wrong way when I see her campaigning. She is just terrible. She has won 1 election agaisnt a scandal plagued incumbant and was voted out immediatly afterwards. She has gotten creamed every other time she has run.

I also have concern about Eve's ability to put the time necessary into the position. She is a teacher who would not be able to get to Columbus during the week, which is a concern if you want her to have any clout in the statehouse.

I am not going to pretend that the Republicans have a snowball's chance in Hades to win this seat, but it will be very enjoyable watching Mallory face off vs. Bolton. White v. Black, male v. female, West End "central city" v. College Hill "suburbs."

On second thought, this is the last thing this city needs.

9th, Howard, the 9th Senate, not the 7th!

This is classic. Yates & Driehaus, who chaired the endorsement committee, refused to consider the natural choice, Harris, due to the Mayor's intervention, Mallory stooge Driehaus cleared the agenda for Dale while Yates cleared the process for Sam Herd (his legislative aide), but now Sam's out, Dale's in hot water, and Eve has gotten into the race thumbing her nose at the wishes of Party insiders. Go Eve!

This would be the year for the GOP to run a good candidate--a moderate Republican or recruit a moderate Dem. to run as a Republican (like NYC did w/ Bloomberg).

Eve Bolton is more than just a serial office seeker, she's also a serial election loser. Good thing she's a Democrat, Democrats love rewarding losers. Hey Eve, take a hint, no one wants to elect you!

How does one impeach a community council president? Read their by-laws and Roberts rules. It's all spelled out in a very clear process.

There is no such thing as a good GOP candidate !

Republican Truth

Why would perennial congressional loser Greg Harris be the "natural candidate?"

at 7:05 AM, February 18, 2006 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Anonymous 753, Yates&Driehaus kept an open door for candidates for about 6 weeks to make sure if any Democrat who wanted to run had the opportunity to interview. If Harris had wanted to interview he could have; no one put a block to him, he just did not come forward.

Hey anon (8:28pm), "perrenial loser" Greg Harris was all over the city in 04 and got like 2/3 of the city votes. I was one of the people who helped drop tens of thousands of Harris lit pieces in city neighborhoods.

But it is also my understanding that there was no "conspiracy" against Harris. He didn't seek the party nomination for Barret's seat.

So when will the Dale Mallory impeachment case be decided? Will it be at the February council meeting? It's hard to imagine more chaos than the last 4 meetings that Dale ran. The new slogan should be "end the chaos at the WECC". Mark may run a tight ship, but Dale can't seem to do anything right.

If Dale is smart (of course he's not), he'll just resign. He can claim he must focus on the race and walk away without showing his stinkin under ware.

Dale Mallory was covicted by a 31-10 West End Community Council vote. Despite extreem pressure from the Mayor, his parents and brother Joe, all Dale could get was 10 votes in his favor. Shirley Colbert is now president. The Mallorys are mad and I'm sure they will use all thier clout to bail Dale out.

Dale Mallory got impeached tonight from his President's spot on the West End Community Council. The frontrunner for the House Seat was just impeached by his own community council.

Dale lost 76% of the vote from his own community. What a disgrace for the Democratic party.

Dale Mallory will still win the vote because he is a Mallory. What is sad is that he will represent all of us. What a sell out.

when is the next WECC meeting?

i'm looking forward to the build up & dramatic moment of exiled prez dale getting arrested for an attempted political coup against shirley colbert.

and for added effect & humor, nate livingston has inserted himself on dale's behalf.

The next West End Community Council Meeting is Tuesday, March 21st, 7:00 PM at Heberle Elementary.

I can't wait myself. Dale Mallory is no longer President of the West End Community Council. If he tries to preside over the lawfull President, he will be arrested for disrupting a community meeting.

Dale's only viable option is taking this to court, and he would lose. Dale Mallory is a loser. And on March 21st that fact will be on display under the bright lights for all to see. His political career is over.

State Representative Tyrone K. Yates (D-33) was the first Democrat to file for State Central Committeeman for the 9th Senate District. He looks forward to a spirited contest among 'free citizens'and Democratic voters in the 9th Senate District race for State Committeeman against his likely opponent Mark L. Mallory. Yates believes that new leadership in the State Committeeman role will benefit the citizens of the 9th Senate district because he will bring a more 'democratic' and 'open style process' to returning to report to Demcrats what is happening in their party. Vote for Tyrone K. Yates for State Central Committeeman on May 2, 2006.

State Representative Tyrone K. Yates (D-33)filed previous to Mark Mallory for the elected position of State Central Committeeman in the 9th Senatorial District. A 'free people' will vote on May 2, 2006 and Yates looks forward to the electoral test. Yates will bring a democratic, fair, and open style to the important position-making sure that Democrats hear what occurs within the State Executive Party mechanisms.

Please help me understand this. The West End has by-laws with an impeachment process. The by-laws are followed and Dale Mallory is voted out 31-10. Dale Mallory says he will continue as president?????? does anyone out there know what kind of logic is behind a statement like that???

at 10:35 AM, February 26, 2006 Anonymous Anonymous said...

dear anon. 2/25 9:44am,
The Mallory logic is the same as the Clinton logic: deny, deny, deny. Then attack all those involved in the impeachment process. Then claim a proceedure issue.
Notice that Dale never addresses any of the charges. He can't because they are all true.
From what I've seen, Shirley Colbert & exec. comm. received a legitimate impeachmentment petition. They followed process and selected a 5 person hearing committee. The hearing committeee notified Dale of a hearing date and have a SIGNED receipt of notification from Dale. The recommendation was easy because Dale was a no show which means guilty according to Robert's rules of order.
The WECC votes Dale out with a 31-10 vote.
The impeachment process was followed with every "t" crossed and every "i" dotted. Dale makes wild claims of "bogus" with no supporting evidence.
If this is a circus, it's because Dale hires homeless to make a circus of the meeting.
Dale and the Mallorys are in denial that the WECC had the spine to refuse to be mugged. The WECC members followed the by-laws and voted Dale out. Dale, walk away....you will only look more foolish if you think you will bully your way back into office.

to anon. 2/26 10:35am,
You make a very strong case.
Does anyone out there have any evidence that the WECC didn't follow protocol? or if Dale Mallory has any defense for the actual charges? or why Dale Mallory didn't go to the scheduled hearing?

I bet Eve Bolton is enjoying Dale's self destruction.

Dale Mallory's lawsuit is getting laughed out of court. He is only making things more difficult for himself. Not even the lawdog wants to take it on.

Just for the record:
Dale lost one lawsuit and he withdrew the other just PRIOR to deposition (the boy didn't want to go under oath).
The Korte story proves Dale was beein a paid shill for the EZ and CityLink. He sold out the WECC. Then he stole all the WECC funds.
