Hoyer to stump for Wulsin

UPDATE: Ann Herzner, Wulsin's campaign spokeswoman, says Hoyer will be here on Thursday morning for a "private reception. The event is closed to the press."

Meanwhile, from the Wulsin campaign:

Hoyer In Town for Wulsin

House Majority Leader Visits To Support Campaign Against Schmidt

Cincinnati – On Thursday, March 20th, United States House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer will visit Cincinnati and appear as the guest of honor at a fundraiser in support of Congressional candidate Dr. Victoria Wulsin.

Hoyer, who represents the 5th District in Maryland, is in his second year as Majority Leader after serving two terms as the Democratic Whip.

Wulsin finished the March primary strong, winning by a wider margin and with over 14,000 more votes than her opponent, Jean Schmidt. Wulsin is preparing for a rematch against Schmidt this fall as she picks up national support and attention from Congressman Hoyer.

“I am honored to have the support of the Majority Leader,” said Wulsin. “He believes in my efforts to bring change to Washington. With his help, we can work together with other members of Congress to address our nation’s most difficult issues: our struggling economy, rising gas prices, affordable healthcare and ending the war in Iraq.”

the choice is so obvious, a Doctor vs a free lancer. That you claim you are conservative does not give you a "Conservative" rubber stamp automatically. Rudy is "conservative", he committed adultry, divorced how many times?

Watch out Hoyer. Wulsin's been looking for new victims. At this point, she'll take anyone she can get.

Who in the heck is Hoyer?? Never heard of him until now. He should draw a crowd.

You mean a "Doctor"

Steve Black proposed a lot of interesting questions to Vic Wulsin, none of which she's answered. Instead, she runs away.

When will the Enquirer step up to the plate and show the public the TRUTH about Vic Wulsin. She's currently under an ethics investigation, yet Malaria Rulon has been completely silent. Wonder who she's rooting for..

Hoyer is the main reason why the House of Representatives refused to vote on a bipartisan update to FISA legislation. Now the intelligence community doesn't have the tools to listen to terrorist who are trying to kill Americans. Good thing Hoyer adjourned the House for a two week recess to campaign!

Anon, 3:28 how simple are you? She's licensed under her maiden name Victoria Wells. Take off the tinfoil. You have no credibility.

"Anonymous said...You mean a "Doctor"...proposed a lot of interesting questions...the Enquirer step up to the plate and show the public the TRUTH...3:28 PM, March 18, 2008"

Black's attacks are based more on innuendo than fact. Voters in the district deserve better from serious candidates.

Dayton Daily News Endorses Wulsin

"As if to show his own toughness, Mr. Black is running a negative campaign against Dr. Wulsin.... The attacks don't wash."

PRAISES WULSIN ENDORSEMENT

Amen to the Enquirer's endorsement of Victoria Wulsin ("Make it Wulsin vs. Schmidt," Feb. 24) in the Second Congressional District Democratic primary. Her opponent in the March 4 primary, lawyer Steve Black has embarrassed Democrats in the district with a relentless smear campaign against a public health physician who has spent her professional life helping others.

Who has been to the 2nd district to campaign for Schmidt? Come November, Schmidt will get a taste of what Black got two weeks ago.

Steny Hoyer is the POLITICIAN from who the hell knows where that STOLE the House Majority leader position from Congressman John P. Murtha.

Murtha was the only Democrat bold enough to speak out against the war before it became a politically popular thing to do.

Wulsin bores me. When she loses, I hope the Democrats finnally realize that she just can't win.

Not NOW. Not ever.

If Wulsin wins, I will have to run for Congress. I really don't feel like doing that but good God, she's not quite right. She scares me.

Save-A-Life Foundation v. Baratz, No. 2007-CH-12022 (Ill. Cir. Ct. filed May 3, 2007).

Status: Pending

The Chicago-based foundation Save-A-Life Foundation, which teaches and promotes the use of the “Heimlich maneuver” has sued three critics of the first aid procedure and its creator, Dr. Henry Heimlich. Among the critics named in the suit is Jason Harp, who maintains the “Cincinnati Beacon” blog (www.cincinnatibeacon.com), and Peter Heimlich, Henry Heimlich’s son, who maintains his own website (http://medfraud.info/). The foundation is also seeking an injunction against the critics’ comments. In its amended complaint, the foundation added American Broadcasting Company, WLS-TV in Chicago, and WLS reporter Chuck Goudie as defendants over two WLS-TV stories on the controversy.

Steny Hoyer is one of the problems in Washington...now he's bringing them to our conservative Southern Ohio area. He needs to stay in Maryland, and Victoria needs to reveal "Victoria's Secrets" to the voters of the second district. She doesn't have a chance in the general.

If you're insinuating that no one has been here to help Schmidt yet she CRUSHED Brinkman, I believe she should take that as an compliment and that chick who infected starving african children so she could perform her sick experiements (i forget what she calls herself this week) should be afraid.

By the way, did you notice how John Murtha endorsed Hillary today? John Murtha campaigned for Wulsin in 06. Birds of a feather...

at 8:40 AM, March 19, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

I heard when you pull out the vote that Heimlich received, Mean Jean didn't even pull 50% of the vote. In fact, more voters casted a vote against Schmidt than for her. Some mandate. Wulsin might just pull this off.

at 10:10 AM, March 19, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Wulsin is not going to pull anything off.... she will lose yet again. Then Paul Hackett can show her how a real race is run!

Hope someone asks Steny Hoyer about how the Congressional Dems are willing to let the Bush tax cuts expire and sock it to the "middle class" by continuing the alternative minimum tax. Both Wulsin and Driehaus would be rubber stamps for Pelosi and the gang that intends to raise taxes.

"...(i forget what she calls herself this week)..."

We have, as well ?

Does the wRong wingnut whacko, schmidt, call herself a certified teacher, a UC college graduate, a resume' puffer, an election complaint defendant, a congressional house rule breaker, a comment retractor, or just:

Based upon those ads by Steve Black, ol' "Doc" Wulsin sounds like the Nazi war criminal Dr. Josef Mengele.

10:13 AM is a wingnut who keeps spreading the same lie on thread after thread. The Dems are going to repeal the Bush tax cuts for the top 1% income earners, while keeping them intact for the middle class and the poor. they are also going eliminate AMT. Go and cry for poor Richard Farmer and Carl Linder, who are paying 17% in taxes on their billions, while we in the middle class are paying 30% in taxes.

Boo freaking Hoo.
