More Tarbell/Qualls Job Switching

When Roxanne Qualls takes over today for former Vice Mayor Jim Tarbell, whose resignation was effective Monday, he'll take her former position on the SORTA board.

She takes his seat on the planning commission too, and will be appointed this afternoon to the arts, law, finance and economic development committees.

She won't lead the arts committee, as Tarbell did. That job goes to David Crowley. You can also start calling him "vice mayor" as of this afternoon too.

The culmination of one of the worst political back room deals in history. Hey Roxxy, why not just run like everyone else?

I hope the hoopla does not prevent people from looking at her abysmal record!

5 bucks says Tarbell runs for County Commission next year for DeWine's seat.

Charter will endorse Portune and Portune will stump for Tarbell.

Who wants a piece of this action?

Hey why don't we just skip the elections process and just let everyone keep appointing people to their seats. Yay for spoils!

Dewine is set up for a HUGE defeat unless he reads the tea leaves and QUITS. I still wonder whether he cost his dad the election.

Meanwhile, Melanie Bates and Joan whats-her-name sit by and watch ROXXY suck all the oxegyn out of the room.

Their campaign slogan should be: "Thank you sir may I have another?".

If Qualls needs to hire a staffer who is on good terms with Democrats, I have the perfect candidate: Scott Gehring. I hear he is looking for work.

Sorry, never heard of Scott Gehring. But didn't he used to be somebody? Not anymore - just another nonperson shoved down the memory hole.
