Happy Birthday, Steve Reece

Wednesday was Steve Reece's 60th birthday. In case you don't know who he is, which would be difficult to believe if you follow Cincinnati politics at all, he's the father of former Vice Mayor Alicia Reece, who's now Ohio's assistant director for travel and tourism. The family owns Integrity Hall in Bond Hill.

Jeff Berding announced the occasion before City Council's meeting, calling Reece "someone who's given a great deal to the city." It was also his 37th wedding anniversary.

Reece took a seat where people usually testify before council and began to talk about how he started his business in his mother's basement. He said he has been an entrepreneur for 40 years.

Mayor Mark Mallory said: "You are someone who has beaten the odds. You have achieved what many people thought you never would."

Reece then posed for pictures with Berding and others.

Steve Reece is also someone who's TAKEN a great deal from the city, so I guess it's a wash.

Only Steve Reece would be arrogant enough to suggest to his then-future wife that they get married on his birthday.

Berding is the biggest oportunist in American politics

Jane: if you follow Cincinnati politics at all, you'll know it's been reported for years, and is part of the public record, that there is no such "business" as Integrity Hall.

Just because Reece put a sign over an old motel doesn't mean it's a legitimate business.

Berding is so weird. That thing with Reece in Chambers was one of the goofiest things I have ever seen.

I hope Jeff is not just doing things like that for political gain.

Terrible in this country of ours that Freemasonry encourages segregation by allowing whites to have their own "all white only membership" Freemasonry society and blacks to have their own "all black only membership" Freemasonry society. The white Masons and black Masons love it this way.

Well i guess all you are mad because Jeff Berding won I guess he accomplished something that a lot of you so called Cincinnati Activist who only has 1 or 2 followers at best didn't. I guess it is good luck when you are screaming loud and saying nothing because the people that you always attack always seem to win. So keep blogging because thats the only way we are going to listen to you. So quit hating and go sit down somewhere. This was a great event which over 1000 people attended.
