Mallory's Talking Kentucky, Again

For the bloggers poking at Mayor Mark Mallory's recent pitching - there's that word again - about events in Northern Kentucky, another came today. In a press release about three entertainment events this weekend, he again mentioned Newport's Italianfest and added Rivertown Breakdown, the sixth annual celebration of American roots music. It's Saturday night at the Southgate House. That's in Newport.

But the event benefits the June 16 River Sweep cleanup - of the Ohio River. Although most of the river's actually in Kentucky. But that's another issue.

“It is shaping up to be a fun weekend in the Cincinnati area with lots of different events planned all over the region,” the mayor said in a press release about three events, one of them in his city. “Anytime we can bring attention to the diverse and interesting activities that are going on in our region, it’s a very good thing.”

Here's the third event, which is actually happening in the city: Opera Dogs 2007, at Second Sunday on Main, Washington Park, Over-the-Rhine. Contest, starting at 11 a.m., include best kisser, best owner/dog look-a-like and best doggie diva costume.

Tuesday, Mallory rode in a Mustang GT around the track at Kentucky Speedway to promote a big NASCAR race there.

Before any of Mallory's defenders, AKA his paid staffers, blame the Enquirer for slanted coverage, remember, they got this from his own press release.

"....blame the Enquirer for slanted coverage..."

Typical wRong wingnut whacko spewing the elephant dung propaganda !

Mallory campaigned on a regional agenda !

He is merely living up to that promise !

We are regional in nature, PERIOD !

The KY entertainment industry flourishes because of the CINCINNATI skyline !

A regional approach benefits all communities !

There was a time when an argument could be made that CINCINNATI could'nt grow because their view across the river was less than desirable !

Besides, Ross makes the Southgate House ROCK !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRATIC 2007 !

Enquirer's slanted coverage?

It is only slanted because they won't tell the truth about Mayor Zero.

What does he do? Does he have a position on issues? Has he ever "led"?

He gets a pass. Pariod.

OK, that's it. Enough is enough.

It's time for the petitions to start circulating to call a no confidence referendum on Mayor Zero.

Anywhere else in this world unhappy, fed up voters would be teeming the streets calling for the ouster of an elected official. Only in America do we sit around & grumble about it.

Out he goes!

Yep, that's right, they are all talking about you, Mr. Mallory!

"NAIVE", INDEED !

Now,keep preaching and ball pitching as you clean up the river!

The pews are empty and your choir is singing about you on Fountain Square.!

I like the Mayor Zero name, too. Never in my memory has a mayor been more disengaged from what is going on in Cincinnati!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!

I guess Nevill Strickland thought it would be ok for Mallory and his "Fitted Shirts" to annex N. Ky.

Mayor Zero is a very good descriptive for what he's done as mayor, which is absolutely nothing. He allows himself to be bullied around by The Three Stooges (Berding, Ghiz, Bortz) and doesn't take leadership positions on anything.

"The KY entertainment industry flourishes because of the cincinnati skyline" ????? Are you kidding me??

They are doing well in KY because they have had good leadership and people willing to get something done. In Cincinnati we have had no leadership and only a bunch of idiots who can't work together on anything. Dems and Reps are both to blame.

If there was a Republican as mayor right now we can all be sure we would be hearing about how it is his fault that the Cincinnati side of the river sucks. Mr. Bold print would be all over it. However since it is a Dem. he defends the Mayor and makes excuses. Same old stuff from him. And as usual same old lame words. I mean can you please use Elephant Dung one more time??? We just don't get enough of that.(only like every post you make)

Mayor Zero is good. But our whole city council is a big zero.

OK, it's official, and he earned it, from now on it is: "Mayor Zero".

Mayor Zero, I like it too. Keep it up and maybe he will get the message.
