He's 42 and running for council

In case you missed it, Cincinnati City Council candidate Brian Garry celebrated his birthday with a fund-raiser Saturday in Northside. He promised cake, ice cream and optional singing for the suggested donation of $50.

Garry ran unsuccessfully in 2003 as an independent. This time, he's endorsed by the Democrats.

Want to know more about his ONE (Opportunity, Neighborhoods, Equality) Cincinnati? briangarry@briangarry.com.

He turned 42, by the way.

He's a whak job. The Dems should be ashamed of themselves for endorsing this riot supporter.

He should get along with Mayor Zero, though. They both talk, but will accomplish nothing.

Such a lame candidate with a 23 year old campaign manager girlfriend.

Gary does seem a bit clinical.

I'm a Dem and I sure don't support Garry.

We shouldn't have felt the need to endorse a full slate. Garry should have been left on the sidelines where he belongs.

This is nice, but I'm much more interested in Brian's position on the jail tax and other public policy issues?

Oh, I'm with you, Anon 4:54. I can't believe this is really happening. There should be enough candidates with a half of a wit we can vote for. This Garry dude isn't getting my vote.

Today he's Brian Garry. Yesterday, it was Brian Crum.

No vote for this individual. I'm going to take a pass.

Garry is not a wack job. I'll take someone with his compassion, passion and principles any day over DINOs like Berding and morons like Cole. Respected party leaders like Jenny O'Donnell strongly support Brian because he cares about people who are often marginalized in this city, and he isn't ruled by the almighty dollar. He will get the support of true progressive voters, and we are ready to take back City Hall.

at 42, he is 5 years older than chrissy monzel and his Master of the Meaningless aide Bradford P. Beckett

At 42, he's older than most of city council, actually.

And Jenny O'Donnell is NOT a "respected party leader." She's the one who forced Jeff Berding on us. Look how well THAT turned out.

I agree, O'Donnell lost a lot of credibility when she lead Berding into the doors of City Hall.

I heard he's already gotten involved with the jail referendum and is helping collecting signatures. Wonder what the Democratic party leaders think of that.

His girlfriend is not 23 she's nearly 30- but what does her age have to do with anything?
What's the matter, are you jealous that they both look younger than their ages?

The petition is simply to give the voters the right (AGAIN) to have a say in this. If Heimlich & DeWine had pulled the same stunt when Portune was the lone Dem he'd have pitched a fit about it.

"airhead who's auditioning to be a reporter",
why do you refer to other council candidates by their name in your titles but you don't give Garry the same courtesy?
keep it up and you too can be buried on an obscure blog like Korte's

Brian Garry has compassion for the disenfranchised of our city. He believes in the integrity and dignity of all people. Brian has been active his entire adult life in supporting those with out a voice. He is a true democrat with true democratic values and is not afraid to give voice to and stand up for those values. He is not your average politician and that is why he has my vote.
