Stop attacking President Bush!

Mike Wilkens of Blue Ash said he voted for Republicans Ken Blackwell for governor, Sen. Mike DeWine for U.S. Senate and Rep. Jean Schmidt for the U.S. House.

“That was the lesser of two evils,” he said of his Schmidt vote.

About the others?

“I’m not an ideologue. I vote for the person,” he explained. “But it was all that slamming of President Bush. It was a lack of a positive agenda.”

Wilkens said he was willing to consider a Democrat, but he felt no one put forth a platform that he could back. Instead of talking about issues, they kept criticizing the president, he said, adding that he’s happy with the administration’s handling of the Iraq war and the economy.

“The economy is singing,” he said.

I'm struck by the comment: "the economy is singing". Singing for whom?

You? Me? Your children? My children? Your grandchildren? My grandchildren?

Explain that inverted yield curve.

Explain who is going to pay those unfunded mandates.

I find the whole "lesser of two evils" comment to be completely ridiculous. It's called educating yourself and learning about the issues - regardless of which side of the vote you are on. Besides you refuted your entire argument by actually explaining who you voted for. You "voted for the person?" Well, maybe you've never had the joyous opportunity of running into Rep. Schmidt, but she's about as personable as a wet towel. Good job looking out for out for out state, buddy!

Singing "If I Were a Rich Man"?

Did you notice that Wall Street went UP today expecting that the Dems might make some gains?

Could this be because some checks and balances might be good for the country? Could this be because Bush's policies have damaged American businesses overseas?

I guess if you're listening to President Bush the economy is "singing". But if you're listening to business leaders, they're worried.

US economy is the best on Planet Earth. If you can't make money is this economy then you have relied on the Liberals to take care of you. Bush is no Neville Chamberlin, or appeasing "democracy" is dead Joe Kennedy. 65 million dead during WWII. What happens if we take of Hitler in 38'? What happens if we kick butt in the Middle East now?
The overwhelming majority of soldiers are Republican. Blame america first Liberals are aloways on the wrong side of history.

I read a great quote once: "There's nothing Republicans hate more than Democrats with sub poena power." Be scared! We'll see who's on the wrong side of history! ;-)..
